  1. Pete, Thank you very much for your Kind comment, I`m glad you like my work... Nils
  2. excellent Build Kees, I see, you have amoungst other skills developed yourself to a master of modeling in styrene. I have seen this material once in the shop of a professional modelbuilder for shipyard models Very good work Nils
  3. Michael, thank you so much, your Kind comment is gladly appreciated.. The rigging is the first thing to attract ones eye later on, so I`d better put some concentration on it. Also it takes longer than I thought. Trust I would`nt have the Patience to do a rigging for a heavy frigate like "Agamemnon" or "Victory". When all is complete at least I can say that I`ve once tried an 18th century rigging. I admire all those members, for example with their 1:48 scale square riggers where even most the Standing rigging ropes are precisely served...... Nils
  4. Looks very good Mr. Pucko, Looks like you have overcome the mismatching parts and you are haveing fun again in Fitting out the interior and ist furniture Nils
  5. That is a beautiful looking model Lee, and as you already mentioned a unique, well done scratch vessel, I like very much Nils
  6. Thanks Bob, I told him of your appraisal, and he`ll get an extra jug of Jamaica rum after work today Nils
  7. Build log part 79 fitting out the foremast lower yard........ Nils stropping size 3, 4, 5 mm single sheave blocks foremast top- and lower sail stirrups on, no footropes yet footropes on and some blocks dry fitting the studding sail booms adding the "Flemish Horses" (end-footropes) clue blocks to the sail lower corners, and combi-blocks for lifts and sheet to the yard ends stand test on the footropes truss tackles and sling still to be attached at yard center, then all ready for attaching the sail to the yard and preinstalling the individual operation lines
  8. Thank you very much Martin and Bob, your appreciations are well accepted... Martin, the rubberband is simple, but it does a good Job to get the Yard away of the working area when knotting ratlines . Bob, its going on quite well now, I just had to pull out my scetch for the mainmast lower Yard, and had the number of blocks and sizes for the foremast lower Yard. Am working at it this afternoon, will probably have a pic or two of the making sequence tomorrow Nils
  9. Thanks for showing / sharing Carlos, it Looks like These pics are fantastic rendered 3D drawings. Where did you see These, is it available on the web ? The Motala Express of 1895 is even older than the bohuslän, and These old ladies realy have Soul, they let ones heart beat higher. Should you push out an appropriate modeling Project, I wish you all the best of success.... Nils
  10. Little update moved on to the foremast, did the lower ratlines, am fitting out the yards with stirrups and footropes Nils looks like someone is watching TV (blue shine) in the great cabin the blue rubberband "braces" the yard preliminary into position foremast with lower ratlines on port and stb. fore mainyard with stirrups spaced fore top- and mainsail ready for next actions after applying a drop of CA to the individual stirrup positions. The clips act as a weight to keep stroppings straight until the CA cures
  11. Albert, I just caught up with your Progress again, its masterly performed work, very impressive. That joining technique and the prefabrication for the deckbeam parts is smart and of such profession that I presume this accuracy is related to your Profession ? (unknown) Nils
  12. I love your rigging Bob, it Looks so clean and accurate, the sprit- and jib Yards are great, also the belaying in the bow area Nils
  13. Lee, that hering fishing sail logger Looks great, would like to see some more Close up shots....... Thanks... Nils
  14. Hartmut, thats a wonderful model, it is very well done I`m curious what the other sails will look like, must be a beautiful sight, judging by that mounted aft sail, and your wife did a good Job on the sewing, I also like the carvings and the leaf Gold plated decors Nils
  15. Popeye, your workdesk looks pretty busy and many detail pieces are laying around, guess you are just in the modeling fever for making things come true Good work ! Nils
