  1. Joss, your section is really a beautyfull model.Perhaps you find the time to make some better pictures. Your model is a good inspiration for other modeleres how the section looks like after finishing. I am thinking of doing a second section to test some features I like to practice for my HMS Fly build.
  2. Pete, thanks for the pictures of the stern. I don't remember them. Is the drawplate in your last pictures the Burnes plate? I prefer for my build of HMS Fly in 1/48 .75mm treenails for the keel and the frames and 0.45mm ( which are the smallest I can do withe the veneer I have) for the planking.
  3. I totally agree with you Grant. It's a beautyful model which needs a lot of experience, which I don't have. But perhaps in a few years ...
  4. I can't repeat myself enough. Thank you very much for redoing your log. It's a fantastic log and a beautyful model. I lke especailly the parts where you wrote about your problems and mistake and how you solved them. That is the biggest help for me.
  5. Your frame looks very nice. That's a good start. You have a really nice collection of timber which I don't know before.I like espacially the South African Yellowwood. I think this is also a nice color for the planking of the hull.
  6. Wonderful pictures of a really wonderful model. Thanks for sharing
  7. I know your very fine model from papermodelers.com. It's a pleasure that you show your outstanding work also at MSW. Thanks for sharing.
  8. The Revell Kit is quite old, but with a lot of substance to create a very beautyful model. One problem of every plastic kit is the thiknee of the side, which is to small. Have look in the beautyful build log of dafi's HMS Victory, to see what is possible with an plastik kit. Have a lot of fun during your build.
  9. Dan had also shown a lot of clamps in his Vulture build log.
  10. I am happy to see the model. It's mainly based on the reconstruction of Busley from the beginning 20th century. I think it shows a holk, but there are many deatils which are from later types.
  11. Welcome back Sinan. It's nice to see yo model also at MSW 2.0
  12. Erik, thanks for posting your log. It's very good to see your very clean and accurate build.
  13. I found on my hard disk some old 3D drawings for the project. I think they give some very interesting views about the frameing of the POF model. If I remember right Don has drawn them:
  14. Erik, why have you discontinued your build? The model looks really nice and it's a shame that you did. Will you also upload your log about your build of HMS Kingfisher?
  15. Mario, looks really good. I'm interested to see how the frames look on the keel.
  16. Dan, thanks for the whole work for recreating your fantastic log. I appreciate this work very much. Gregs book and the logs of Remco, tlevine and you are my primary sources to find my way through the cliffs of builing my Swan class sloop.
  17. Illhan, as allways, it's really a pleasure to look in your build log and follow your accurate work.
  18. Remco, your blocks are looking very nice. Do you make the sheeves separate?
