Joss, your section is really a beautyfull model.Perhaps you find the time to make some better pictures. Your model is a good inspiration for other modeleres how the section looks like after finishing. I am thinking of doing a second section to test some features I like to practice for my HMS Fly build.

Decided to build the USS Constitution 1/96 Scale Model
AnobiumPunctatum replied to kmgreene's topic in Plastic model kits
The Revell Kit is quite old, but with a lot of substance to create a very beautyful model. One problem of every plastic kit is the thiknee of the side, which is to small. Have look in the beautyful build log of dafi's HMS Victory, to see what is possible with an plastik kit. Have a lot of fun during your build. -

Erik, why have you discontinued your build? The model looks really nice and it's a shame that you did. Will you also upload your log about your build of HMS Kingfisher?

Dan, thanks for the whole work for recreating your fantastic log. I appreciate this work very much. Gregs book and the logs of Remco, tlevine and you are my primary sources to find my way through the cliffs of builing my Swan class sloop.

Illhan, as allways, it's really a pleasure to look in your build log and follow your accurate work.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
