Thank you very much David. I appreciate your interest and kind comment. It has been a long but interesting journey. Sorry about the photos in the first few pages, those photos are actually taken from my old Samsung phone and not the best quality. I have accidentally deleted them all so the pics on this build log are all I have left. But anyway. More pics soon.

Flags on!!! Just about you call this one finally finished but still have anchors to do and one more ships boat.

They do have hard to understand written instructions sometimes. I use Google Translator for the list parts and that gives me a bit of an idea.
-
Now you just make me want to buy a second one and build it again. Top notch job.

Oh and the fact it's worth 13 cents instead of 1cent. There is lots and lots of Victory material here. Plastic and wood so you have plenty of research material at your disposal. Your deck furniture looks neat, sharp and clean. Nice one.

Great work. A spooky thing is that just the other day I found this coin. So me being here in Australia I have a better idea of size comparison. Excellent job your doing.

Ahhhh the Mamoli Victory. Could be a handful, Mamoli is my prefered kit manufacturer and they do some clear plans but maby a smaller ship with a bluff bow. Like the Beagle , Endevour or the Bounty even. They are 3 masted Smaller ships that should be ideal with a fair bit of rigging to go with them. Best of luck.

Looking great. I never angled my stern planks I wish I did. Kicking myself now! It looks great. The model gets quite heavy when all the decorations are on!!

Thanks zappto and Captain Steve. Cheers. The rigging is alot but I broke it down into chunks. Here is the bowsprit rigging so far
-
Im not too crash hot at photography of rigging so sorry about the pics. Trust me progress is being made.
-
The fore mast rigging is finally completed!! Just a little bit ofor running rigging on the main mast and the bowsprit. And of course the Mizzen to tidy up.

I painted mine black but yes all of the insides of the gun ports are painted. After the second layer surrounds the ports go back over and touch up.

I remember this step. Yes it is extremely hard wood. Same as the wood blocks under the transom. Looking great with the lights. Your kit is somewhat different. My ships boats are made of white metal and your lanterns are pre made? You had blue plastic windows where mine were green plastic. Very interesting the differences from kit to kit.

She is looking beautiful. Top effort in the herringbone decking. Shame that the next level will hide alot if it. Good work

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
