  1. Hi Padeen ( or Adeline, just what you want) You are more then welcome. Attention all other viewers, make a little space for Adeline please. And Mark? will you be so kind to get Adeline a bag of popcorn? Drinks are also available if you want some….. And thanks for your kind words! And about the ratlines….no worries, I have hired some gnomes to do that!
  2. Wow, You have make a lot of progress. It looks great Ferit!
  3. John, You can do this also with wood! I have faith in you With all the help from your friends on this forum it can not goes wrong!
  4. Thanks Jim, The plans are saying that I have to make the lids operate….. Who am I then not to do it? Most of the time, when I have the early shift, I'm the first who get out of the bed. Otherwise the first who is downstairs ( me )
  5. Augie, I was looking at the build and I thought….hey there is an other side……. Whoopi, twice as much ratlines…... @ Daniel, You are so right! But not only me but I think everybody is going somewhere and a lot of people don't know where it ends…. When I'm driving in my bus, I know where the end is……….where the coffee is waiting for me Thanks for the kind words
  6. The shrouds at the port side are also in place. I know that the deadeyes are not in 1 line but they are so tiny….. I have search on the floor for 6 times and I find them all I used a jig but still they are …..out of line….. I promise you that i shall do it better with the main mast! And Keith? When you look at the lids, some of them are to the hull. Now I can place them back again.
  7. Sorry Mick that I missed your post Take your time to follow the log. I don't go anywhere and also the log stays where it is. You want to build a sailing ship of a good size….you mean a big one like Le Mirage or San Ildefonso or maybe the Aggy? What is stopping you…. So take the step, buy a nice kit and get building and have fun with it …... When you are at the stage of the ratlines, I'll send you the gnomes
  8. Keith, I can closed the lids, but normally they are open. I give you a wrong answer….. I' not closed them but put them upwards…….so they are against the hull. I hope this make more sense?
  9. Thanks Jeff, For a lot of members the rigging is the fun part. For me it means that is is almost the finishing of an other build Finally you can see the end result of a lot of blood, sweat and tears…... I've ordered a few gnomes to do the ratlines for me I've not see them yet so maybe they are with an other builder at the moment.
  10. Wow, That's a tutorial that stands as an house! Great job! Can I placed a order?
  11. Augie, Can I make a pact with you? You are trowing have stuff into the battle……. If I had a tail I was running with that thing between my legs….
  12. Hi John, (Now I know your name….) I see that you build a Camel???? With 2 bumps on his back? Or I'm just wrong…. I never hear of such vessel so please….a picture?
  13. Hi Mick, All the furniture is tiny stuff…. But you are doing a fine job! It's just looks like I'm building her again
  14. Nice Wim, I agree with John. Planked or paint and you can use also cardboard
  15. Good morning my friend. I see that the cake and coffee at the table :-) Happy birthday and make it a wonderful day on this special day!
  16. @ Frank , Are you really mean that this is the fun part???? I have to do it , otherwise I just let it….. The rope from Morope looks good. I'm not working with it because it is for Mobbsie @ Aldo, Thank you @ Keith, The shrouds are staying the colour that they have, All the rope is the same colour and I don't do a thing with it…. When I'm working on the masts or rigging, I can put my gun lids up. No problem with my arms…... When I'm finished I put them down again. Question answerd?
  17. Garward, Thank you for your comment. I know that it is not the way as it should be. There are more things that are not accurate on The Mirage. Maybe that's why the the ship is named Le Mirage or Fantom. I'm not going to change the chainplate. If I remove it, I will damage more then I want. And besides, the ropes will then run in front of the canons. The drawings from Corel are terrible. No measurements at all. You have to look very carefully where everything has to go, by looking how it should be done according to that particular picture. My ship is not a museum piece but a hobby! For me, she doesn't have to be historically accurate, because may she didn't even exists. I'll just do it the way I think is right according to the pictures in the plans. And I like it how she looks at the moment. Again, thanks for your comment but I will leave it this way.
  18. I found this picture of a Mirage that is finished. The shrouds are also going in a angle….
  19. Garward, Are you meaning the shrouds that go from the mast to the deadeye's? It has to go with the mast?
  20. Thanks Wayne, Yep, go to the larboard side @ Thanks Garward, I know exactly what you mean. But the canons are in the way for that. And I can not cut the metal part under the plate to short them. There is no way to place them then. And at the drawing it's the same. They also goes on an angle…...
  21. I fix the rope in the first deadeye. I also put on the first six on the ( I have to say it right otherwise Andy is correct me again) starboard side. Now to the other side…..
