Thanks all ! @ Wayne and Hennie, You are ( almost ) right. It looks if the is a hole in it but now comes the trick. One grating had broken in the middle. So the upper part is gone and the lower part is still there. It looks if I missing something there. The deck has planked, gratings are done, skegge in place ( that funny thing at the front ) use tung oil....place the whole keel and stern post and the second planking on the port side are done ! Need some sanding and a little filling before I can paint her. But first the other side. So enjoy the pictures ! Sjors

Mike, I'm sorry to say but you are right.....top gun ports are to high......sorry ! When I take a look at mine, they are at least 5 mm from the top. And the measurements between the top row and the row at the bottom ( third row ) I have 35 mm That's the underside of the gun port at the top and the upper side of the gun port at the third row. Those gun ports are the ones that are above and below the door. Between the door and gun port I have 10 mm......( measurement also top and bottom ) So back to the drawing table please. It is double planking and after the planking , she is gonna be painted on the lower part of the hull. In the middle you've got a red part between the whales ( or without a H ) Above that you have just the wood. ( Tung oil I think ) And on top blue. The second planking planks ( nice word ) are that thin that I will do first other things before I will put that on. The planks are 0.6 mm thick .... Have a nice evening, morning or night. Very small update ! Because of the temp. it's t hot to do anything. High above the 34 C ( 93.4 F ) I have make the second planking for the upper part. There must be some sanding,painting and oil for the part that should be not painted. But first there are other things to do. Like planking the deck and making the whales. It can take a while before the next update. Sjors

I have make the sills. Painted them and now they are ready for the second planking. Als place one canon to see if the gun port are on the right hight and YES.....they are Also one picture for Mike to show him an SotS with blue. This is what I maybe will do. A little update but only with words... One netting is finished !!!!! And now comes the big issue..... I need 7 of those and we can find 5.... So where are the other 2 ? The builder who has find them, please send them back to me......... If I can not find those then I have a BIG problem !!!!!!!! Moving around is not good for things. We have to check the box with missing items, perhaps they are there....... In the mean time there is an update on the SotS. At least something ! Sjors
