Hi Grant, The shrouds cleats are just like a hidden puzzel.... You have to look careful but that means that they are perfect in place ! The rest is just what I've expecting from you.....nice and clean !

That looks totally different ! But a nice one.... You gonna start a build log ? -
Thanks Doris. I'm not at the level you are but I'm happy so far For the moment I'm busy with the Agamemnon, planking the middle gun deck. When that's finished, I go back to this one.

I will wait till the last pictures. I think I choose one picture, print it out and hanging it beside the drawing of the San Ildefonso Then I know what I have to do to make it that great ! -
Kamil, The start of the second planking looks good. Only watch out with the stern. I see a plank that is not going smoothly ( second plank ) Let the plank goes his own way and not force him into place. I think with a little sanding you can get him right. Are you using varnish when the hull is closed ?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
