    Main mast is done He got all the shrouds, ratlines and blocks...... What left is the foremast but that's for another time. Before anyone is calling for pictures, here they are......

    That looks good Nick ! Are you painting those wheels also black ? And have you try if it fits on the ship ? When you don't have do that, try it first before you make 36 of those.

    Lesson well learned Mark. Now you can say that you can speak a little Dutch ! Augie, The wood of the planking you are using is Basswood. Did you give it already a layer of something ? Or is it just natural ? Anja is looking around for wood for planking when she started the Hannah ( it takes some time before she wil get started on that )

    Very nice Bob, You are saying that the gallery on starboard side is a little different then the port side. How do you see that ? You are running around her ? Or do you using a mirror ? It looks really great !

    Hi Matt, That's a lot of progress ! Maybe it's the picture but the top mast on the bowsprit is not straight. For the rest it is looking great ! And some bowsprits are very long. If it is the right measurement, leave it .

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
