  1. She's really looking goods, Anton. Speaking of OH&S, I wanted access to the Gun Director Platform (Monkey Island to us merchant seamen) on the Vampire at the museum, which is blocked off. I was told that OH&S had deemed it far too dangerous without supervision and full safety gear! John
  2. Thanks, Janos - pity the visitors can't see any of your work in the cupboard! Russ - I'll scrape off all the excess glue and then fine sand before a few coats of Poly over the entire hull. Tanks for looking in, Frank. John
  3. Another small update. I was pretty busy talking to visitors last time at the museum, however I did manage to get a bit more deck planking done. I've also started on treenailing the deck and will continue this work as the deck progresses. John
  4. I hope she pulls through OK, Toni. I'm sure she will if love and devotion have any bearing on the case. John
  5. Absolutely brilliant that you were able to find such a detailed set of plans for your proposed build - if only that sort of information was always available. As for the interior view - have you thought of simply leaving one half of the model entirely in frame? John
  6. Hello ETNZ and a warm welcome to the forum. John
  7. Congratulations on a job very well done, Kees. She's a model to be proud of. John
  8. Well so long as you're going to build something unusual..... That looks like a really nice kit, Popeye. John
  9. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Beautiful job, Popeye. She really looks the goods., mat. Now for that case to protect her from damage and dudt. John
  10. Just catching up, Lee. She's really looking 'the cat's pyjamas'. John
  11. Just catching up, Piet, and just in time to say congratulations on a superb build and a very fitting tribute to your dad! John
  12. It looks OK in that view, Mark. Have you had a good look at it from ahead just to double check? John
  13. The batten looks fine aft, Mark, but is there a slight upward kink just about where the red-headed pin is? John
  14. Had to go away for a while, Mobbsie, and I'm glad we got back in time for me to see the finished restoration. Absolutey first class work, mate! John
