    Thanks for the support, folks - it's much appreciated. Russ - yes, they were cut to fit around each frame. A card template of the deck curve was made first, then the plank cut to fit snugly against the inboard edges of the frames and then the plank marked and cut (cut and try; cut and try) to fit around the frames. John

    Just a small update. I've started work on the deck, but the fitting of the margin plank has taken a little longer than expected, so that's all that's been done for the moment. Next time I manage to get to the museum I can start on the deck planking proper. John
