  1. Eddie, when I built the Lettie G. Howard I had the same problem in trying to find a good set of rigging plans for a schooner. The best I could find was Model Shipways Instruction Manual MS2109 which can be downloaded as a .pdf file. That along with Howard Chapelle’s "The American Fishing Schooners" is what got me through. It’s all there, it just requires a lot of digging. Bob
  2. Most hardware stores sell galvanized steel sheets. Galvanized is zinc plated and the steel is a mild (soft) steel. It would be put on the hull the same as copper sheeting. Bob
  3. The fellow in the RC club I was in just put petroleum jelly on the two surfaces. It kept out the water just fine. Bob
  4. With such a nice looking start, you will not have any problems with clinker planking. Bob
  5. I bought the ones that have a battery pack and then replaced the batteries with a plug in adapter, because the batteries went dead too fast. Bob
  6. Michael, thanks for the pictures and information. You are right there are a lot of modelers making very small parts. They all amaze me. And you are right there with the best of them. Bob
  7. It's looking better and better all the time. Stick your thumb in the next picture to give us a scale reminder. Bob
  8. "A new keyboard and mouse" A mouse playing a keyboard on the Jingle Belle. Looking forward to that. Bob
  9. The reason most modelers ask how you do something is because it looks good and it might be easier then the way they are doing it. Bob
