Nothing like a test of patience OC. It's more important you do not ruin your hands by working (to much) on your model. I'd rather see her waiting for some action than hear you have ruined your hands because of it. So, take your time!
Cheers
Thank you carl much appreciated, its funny I can still do most normal things like support the weight of my camera lens with my affected (Left hand) but things like my laptop keyboard and model making is the most difficult as my fingers lock up and the pain is quite bad.

Good afternoon folks - sorry its been so long since I was last on my build, my hand problem has been causing some problems and a lot of pain as I explained before, I was getting locked fingers by holding all the small pieces and tools.
But with any luck I will make a fresh effort to carry on with her as she is sitting on the shelf looking very sad and un-loved, I owe it to her to continue.
Thank you all for being so patient with me

What shade of "yellow" did you use on your Victory? Looks very nice and authentic. I want to do mine the same, but haven't figured out the right color, yet.
Isnt it Yellow Ocre possibly lightened down a shade, as she seems that way in real life, well last time I was on here as part of a naval week.

This is going to be a Fantastic build - folks at 1/72 scale thats the scale of the most common aircraft kits or plastic soldiers we all collected, and imagine HMS Fifes length at that scale - 7.2 feet yep 7.2 feet Magnificant.

This is an Amazing build and closer to me than anything I have ever seen or followed, Devonsire Class was always my favorite ships and when I was quite young I had the chance to go over Devonshire at Portsmaouth Navy Days in 1976, what an experiance, this fuled my love affiar of the Navy and led to me spending a week at Collingwood when I was 15, as a work experience course - I went through the week with flying colors, and a year or so later I applied to join as a WEM first class, with the hope and dream of serving on a type 42, but alas I failed the entrance exam only slightly on my maths but never bothered to try again.
Following this build with so much passion

Passing by my local hobby shop on other business, decided to stop by to see if anything new had come in. Looking in their locked glass display case, spotted this Pontos Detail set boxed up for sale by Tamiya. It seems that Pontos detail sets are labeled for sale by Tamiya for certain of their ships. This one is for the Prince of Wales. It normally sells for around $150. The hobby shop had this set marked down to $42.50 so I succumbed to the arm twisting and bought it. The set contains almost everything that was in my Duke of York set, only this one specifically includes the Prince of Wales items that make it different from the DoY. So I guess at some point I shall acquire a Tamiya Prince of Wales kit and do that one to go along with my DoY.
I so love Pontos decks - Superb.

All the parts are brass. Either photo etch or machined. I've been cutting off the locator pins and filing it down flat rather than try to drill and install another pin into the machined brass gun base.
These pictures give a good reference for how small we're working with here. I doubt I could drill holes in the tops of these gun bases, even on my best day.
This is the stuff fly specks are made of.
SUPERB Work, I have to be honest, I cheeted with my Orks - I used the main plastic barrel arrangements and used the PE shields with them, then fitted them inside the tubs but with the PE Amo baskets - doors etc.

Loving the detail with the PE, I often wish some PE would come pre assembled like the Pom Poms or other complicated assemblies, surely companies like Pontas with all thier experience could do that - IM sure it would help a few of us with less tahn stella eyesight or dextrus fingers.
