What I love about this build - it hits on a subject that I love as I always loved castles, when I was a a kid my dad took me to see a English Civil War reinactment battle at a castle - I was completely stunned by it all. I always wanted to build a dio of what I saw in the flesh - but I never saw a kit of the castle. This is a video of the event and castle I went to - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Warwick+Castle+siege&t=ffab&iar=videos&iax=videos&ia=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D8ew_dIUGegQ OC.

Evening all, I have been doing more research earlier and discovered something - the British Hussars where not closely connected to any action near LHS these should have been the Light Cavalry in the shape of the 2nd Life Guards who charged on the West side (Road side) of LHS so this is something I will have to look at latter. Thank you kindly Mark, I thnk the shadows and loss of light add some depth - wait till I Start to populate it even more includiing the Trees in the orchard - that will be interesting as I need to put the base on my table and there sin't much room left - still some time off yet though as I need to finish my few figures than get my airbrush going to flat coat them all. So next job will be to reach into my dio and fit the doors - then I will carry on with my figures - still not sure if I should add more 5th KGL (Red jackets) as in fairness there was far less of these as only One squadron was sent down compared to Four-Five of the Green jacket 1st and 2nd KGL Light. OC.

Evening all, no actual movement (I have been lazy lol) I have let my doors level as the paper was curving upwards due to the paint, so I have some weight on them to get them flat again, and the Cuirassiers are just chilling waiting for the washes, and a couple more French are waiting for more paint. I have some odds and sods that I could try to make up - some 5th KGL (Red Jackets) and some bits of equipent - backpacks, Shakos, Rifles etc that I will make up to be scattered on the ground in various areas . About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
