    it does take any flex out of the plastic, provides a platform for a lot of the RC gear, and a means of getting the deck level all around,

    good morning everyone its is certainly a change to work on a project and see some of the work bench must admit is am pleased with this kit so far, the laser cut hull frames have gone together with no issues, i have read cases where this is not the case, Once the hull formers are made up the deck is fitted, i thought that this would then be fitted inside of the hull, but no, deck planking is fitted first, then the scuppers and other hull openings are made, before this is done after a few dry runs to ensure that the assembly drops into the hull the deck was fitted, this has been glued and pinned, i will remove the pins, or fille them down today so far this build is 10 out of 10

    Welcome to my latest Build This was presented to me by MSW a few months ago as a retirement present, for which i am extremely grateful, this actual kit was kit reviewed by @James H so i have put the link in, i hope to do the kit justice, and of course i will do things different, as i make her my own, im already thinking of a royal blue hull

    thank you for the comments, next build is already on the table, after i stayed up for hours cleaning up and finding bits lost that had to be scratched lol i will try and get her outside today again for some better photo

    Good evening everyone well that's it, the trawler is finished, but that not the end of her, she will be going into a diorama at some stage in the future, i will at that time do any weathering i enjoyed a this build a lot, the instructions were poor, plans not much better, every bit of white metal required some attention, and i would do it all again tomorrow painting was mainly rattle can primer and acrylics left over from other builds large amounts of Red, white with Matt black were used i would like to thank everyone who has followed me , and for comments and likes, going to spend tomorrow cleaning up the mancave and get the next project on the go, see you all on another thread

    good evening everyone still never finished her today, but did get to season 5 of Game of thrones life buoys done, I only had flat white and flat red left, and i think its better than gloss, the fish ponds took ages to put back into position, 150 loose boards, i cannot secure them until im sure how the build is going to be displayed lighting tested and working, 2 circuits nav lights on one, everything else on the other

    good evening everyone quesss what? are you guessing? you given up yet? i never finished her today, but did lots outside for a good clean, after stripping most of her off touching up in places and finalising most of the rigging Ssafe indoors now, and will continue towards the goal tomorrow

    good afternoon Keith i have made the decision to bring 6 lines down, 3 from either side of the two fwd aft lines, where the insulators are sited , to the wheel house roof, the only problem i face is that the after mast is part of the superstructure where as the fwd mast is not, so i need to find a quick release method. not that mine should be taken apart again after

    Good morning everyone Coming to the end of this project, but not the build,, as some things cannot be completed, like the derricks and majority of the weathering until i put her into the diorama, later on this year after gallows all stays are fitted, the one from the superstructure is a pain, the Y shape is soldered together as part of the kit, there are no suggestions as to how it fits or kit parts to help it go in a set position, so i drilled two holes under the guard rails and one into the gallows, however it does hamper the removal of the spare otter board, this is now in black, lol i have seen enough red ochre to last me a life time, this needs to be removed when separating the superstructure from the hull port and stbd nav lights work and are fitted, all portholes and wheel house windows are glazed i may redo the whole of the wheel house roof again as the kits parts are well below being acceptable, but help slighlt towards the finish i want majority of the rigging is fitted, but just needs tightening up, most are on slip knots, there is no provision for side stays from the top of the mast, so im not sure where they should go all boat deck supports are in place, these cannot be fixed to the hull, ladders fixed rudder chains going in and me, still wondering about the aerial wires and where they should go

    i am glad this topic has come up, as i will be starting my Billings Cutty Sark within two weeks, and intend to set every sail, would love to do her in a bigger scale, but the kit will have to do

    normally they would be exactly as described, a hole directly into the water below High ranking officers had their own private latrines attached to their cabins that overhung the sea. "Respectable" officers could use the officers' wardroom quarter gallery unless the captain thought an officer wasn't a "gentleman" and didn't deserve the privilege. Junior officers could use one of the 2 "roundhouses", enclosed cubicles at the bow of the ship, overhanging the water. Approximately 694 ratings and marine privates had to share 6 latrines or heads that were also at the bow of the ship and overhanging the water. These latrines were also simple benches with holes but they were completely exposed to the elements. Sailors who couldn't get to the heads made do with a bucket that was dumped over the side of the ship not facing the wind.

    Good evening everyone the wheel house is getting attention again. another spot light fitted and the bits and pieces that stand in front of the window. which still have to be toned down, two more air vents to find that sit on the roof tonight the boat deck supports are being fitted, they cannot be secured to the hull as the whole assembly is removable, so i dont quite know how to stop them falling inwards, as they are on wire hinges

    Good evening everyone, i have had a delay on completing her, last week i started to watch Game of Thrones Season 1, the wife was not interested in it what so ever, she told me many times what she thought of it was having never seen any of it, however she sat down and watched episode 10 with me, instantly liked it and started asking what happened in the previous episodes, so we started watching them from the start, she is hooked, and we are on 4 episodes a day, and well into season 2
