F-16c 35th FW Misawa "803" by Javlin -Tamya - 1/48 - PLASTIC
Javlin replied to Javlin's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
Got quite a bit done this evening just as I was researching the net about the 35th my son shyped and he answered some questions about the top of the tail it's all yellow two tone =wing leader, lights on the rear of plane the parts looked like gas tank covers. The plane has the pilots name on the left side and his crewchief on the right so Russ who lives down the street(two houses) he does alot of Biloxi schooners and makes his own decals I'll see if we can give that a shot.I changed my mind on the gear but have her taking off? Kevin I am almost feeling like I need to finish some of these planes I started before moving on to a new build it's about ten kits two are 1/24s and two 1/32s -

It's all airbrush I have been airbrushing since about 13 yrs old when Badger had Propel in a can as for paints I am an enamel guy whether Testors, Model Masters or Humbrol.I do have some acrylics but if one is not quick on the clean of the airbrush it will start to harden when I have forgotten enamels in the cup and came back the next day it cleaned with no problem. Nice Day today four families cook out about 80', 2 innings of softball and five or six games of bingo then peach cobbler and homemade ice-cream life is good Kevin -
I thought I get back to this kit since Hannannts is a little slow and finish it for my son who is a crew chief in the 35th and 803 is his main plane (he hates 803 always something).I do not plan on keeping the plane but to build gear up with some clear rod for a base off it goes to Japan he'll keep or give it to the pilot.

Thanks that's not all out of the cabinet got a couple of Armour and ships also just on the bottom shelf the top shelf gets the most dust. It's not to bad Mark once a year it happens the whole office side is getting cleaned. -

I did not really see a place to put this and since I am in a lull hannants just gave me a tracking # today and I needed to get room made for the "MMR" in the big cabinet which needed some serious dusting.I have to dust it about once a tear which took me two hours so all the planes have to come out.I thought some of you guys might be interested in seeing some of my early work's like the 1/32 Fiesler Storch,Ki-43 Oscar a 1/72 Heinkel,Ki-61 these are all probably 30years old anyways ............. -

Tom most modelers glue the fuse shut clean up the seams then spray. This were mask for the canopy and other glass comes in handy everything gets hit at once. You can paint the tips of the props yellow I do it this way about 50% of the time just several light coats will be needed. Kevin -

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
