Two questions:

1 which type of sculpy do you use

2 how do you guild the baked pieces?

and one remark: the 'carvings' look great'. Perhaps you yourself feel that they shouldn't be compared to Doris's,

but in a couple of ships time yours will be as good :)

Hi Jan,

I am using the Firm Grey Sculpey.

To guild the baked pieces I am using a regular gold color from Revell and then to get kind of patina effect I paint it with diluted black acrylic color.

Thanks also for your nice compliment, I appreciate it!:) Well, I am hoping that one day in late future I could get my ornaments to look a little more similar to the ones from Doris.:)

Best regards,

Jan

Hi,

after a month here comes some upgrade on the work on my RC.

Mostly I have been working on the stern gallery. I have made substantial changes to it, all of the decorations were remade from Sculpey. The work is still not finished but it is slowly coming to an end.

Last picture shows what the stern gallery looked like on the previous version so that you can compare the difference.

Have a look and let me know what you think.

Very nice work. I admire your work with Sculpey :)

That's the only thing I have not tried yet  .

Thank you,

I am pretty sure that you would master work with Sculpey very soon and would be able to produce even better results. ;)

Best regards,

Jan

Hi David,

I am very glad that you like my build. I am certainly enjoying the build.

Definitely go ahead and try Sculpey or some other clay of this kind. I am still learning with it...

Cheers,

Jan

Hi Sparrow,

Very nice job you're doing there........i must try this sculpey business myself some time, especially after seeing Doris's efforts which are beautiful ! I hope you don't mind me saying this but I did prefer the original blue that you were using this one seems a bit too bright, will follow with interest as she was my first build and it's interesting to see how other people tackle builds.

     Cheers

       Jack
