I did play some ACW skirmish scenarios with 15mm figures when I was younger. 

15mm because you didn't need a large game table and also only needed 150 to 200 figures per side. The ACW also works well for skirmishing games. The same applied to the Revolutionary War.

In respect to re-enactment like OC I would have liked to done ECW but on the parliamentary side as a pikeman. 😏

Evening all,   Five more KGL   assembled  with  arm positions  varied  same with the heads  - careful application of heat and a bit or persuasion  to get the pose I want.

The Famous Five  had a day off today  - they did however get the privaledge  of whatching  me working on the Wokka  - one of then said  how cool it looked and how useful it would  have been at Waterloo.

No progress on this the last few days  peeps  (sorry)    I have been distracted (nicely)  by something else,  I was asked by a  friend of mine  to compile a  playlist and discussion  about my music creations  and  music special to me, to go out on air  at the radio station  he works at as a radio presenter.    After  I was  editing  the recording using my music editing apps on my laptop  - it took quite a bit of time.

But its done now.

It was about an hours worth consisting of  Two  of my own  digital synth  recording using VST  (laptop) synths,   a recording I did with my good friend  Luke James  ex  Fashion Group,   Two  of Fashions  songs from the late 70s,   Two  from UB40  from the early 80s,   Two from a  good friend  and his tribute band of Duran Duran,  and  One from Duran Duran.

I was very humbled  to be asked.

I tried the bass  some years a go   also tried the sax  but learning it in the house  - well you can imagine the noise  our  dog back then was no too impressed,   a digital synth  is a lot easier.

I have a couple guitars as well......one is an old 'flying V' student bought at a Western auto in Florida.  I don't bring it out......every time I go to tune it,  Gibbs howls       I have another that is small......I bought it for our oldest granddaughter.  she didn't do anything with it,  so she gave it back to me.  I have NO claim to fame with a guitar  except one time {lasted for only one song)  of course,  I was drunk at the time.....could've accounted for it    

 

I'm not bad with the bass,  but I'm not a virtuoso.  kinda like Jack Benny.......he always said that he practiced to be lousy

I used to own this  Ibanez SR   I had a small practice amp and used to practice in the room  with phones on, then when I wanted to record  I would hook the amp up to my laptop and  use one of my instrument recording apps like Reaper, then  adjust to tast in Wavepad.

 

My main VST  Virtual synth  is a Fab   Jupiter8  copy, also have a Moog VST   they are brilliant for messing about.

I never learned to play the piano......could have been cool,  I suppose.  I do have a couple of music creator programs for the computer......haven't messed with them in quite some time either........the playbacks were too scary

i touched a piano once, and accidently on purpose slammed the lid shut on me brother's fingers, he has never talked to me since, and that was in 1968

Evening all , I managed  pull myself back down to earth  and back on my figures,   I have been painting  the heads touching in thier sideburns, then the Shako's   with thier plates and braides, then the Blue colours on there lapels and cuffs, I also  painted the haversacks  and straps in the sand colour  - slowly getting there.
