Evening all,    some  more  progress  today  -  I  put a  couple  of coats  of Black  on the  doors  ten set them aside to  dry,   then I  returned to my Two  Cuirassiers   finishing off  their  painting   -  just needs a  wash  and  dusting.

Evening all,   no  actual  movement   (I have been  lazy  lol)  I have  let  my doors  level  as  the  paper  was  curving  upwards  due  to the  paint,  so  I have  some  weight on them to  get them flat  again,   and  the  Cuirassiers  are  just chilling  waiting for the washes,   and  a  couple  more  French  are  waiting for  more  paint.

I have  some  odds  and sods  that  I could  try  to  make  up  -  some  5th  KGL  (Red Jackets)   and   some  bits  of  equipent  -  backpacks,  Shakos,  Rifles   etc   that  I will  make  up  to  be  scattered  on the  ground  in various  areas

Excellent work on the doors OC.  Absolutely no way to tell they’re made of paper.  The wear on the lower frames is great also.

So  next  job  will  be  to  reach  into  my  dio and  fit  the  doors   -   then I will carry on with  my figures  -  still  not  sure  if  I should  add  more  5th  KGL  (Red jackets)  as  in fairness  there  was  far  less  of these  as  only  One  squadron  was sent down   compared to  Four-Five  of the  Green jacket  1st and 2nd KGL  Light.

Hi Chap,

Looking really good!!

(I was going to ask when we were going to see the figures in place on the Diorama.)

Can I respectfully ask what are the Diorama dimensions?

The gate looks terrific and you made a good decision to add it. Looking at the earlier photo of the diorama in its case the blank wall kind of chops the scene into two halves. With the gate it brings it all together. Or maybe that's just me.

Thank  you kindly  Alan,   it  also  ties  in with  acess  to  orchard  would have needed a door  and there was  talk in  written  files about the  2nd KGL  rushing through it and  through  the Barn,  when over powered  by the French.

I do like those photos taken with the optovisor.  I can't quite figure out why though.  Sort of like night is falling and things are winding down since there's not a lot of men..

Thank you  kindly Mark,  I thnk the  shadows  and  loss  of light  add some  depth  -  wait till  I Start to  populate it even more  includiing the  Trees  in the orchard  -  that  will  be interesting as I need  to put the base on my  table  and there sin't much room  left -  still  some time off  yet  though  as  I need  to  finish  my  few  figures  than  get my  airbrush  going  to  flat coat  them all.

Sounds like a good plan.   I do have a question.... will the figures have to taken off the dio to move it?   I'm just wondering about getting through a doorway.

They  are  glued  down  using Super Glue  and  all the  other  fittings/scenery  are glued down  -  hopefully  making a permanent  base  etc  -  mind  you  hope  it  never needs  moving.

Evening all,   I have been  doing more  research  earlier  and  discovered  something  -  the  British  Hussars  where  not  closely  connected to  any action  near LHS    these  should  have been  the  Light Cavalry in the  shape  of the  2nd  Life Guards   who charged  on the  West  side  (Road side)   of LHS  so this  is  something  I will  have  to  look at  latter.

Evening all,   I mananged a couple  of hours  on my little  ones  today  -  I  started off  by  making  Two  2nd  Life Guards  from my old  light  cavalry  spru and  gave  then a  primer,   they  will  be sat on my  already made  ex Hussar  horses  that  just need their  facing colours  chsnged.  I also  decided  to dig  out  of  my trash box  a  few  2nd  KGL  that I had  put a side  because  I did not  think they were  molded  well  enough  -  so  I  gave  a  few  primer  and  the others  some  paint,  I did the same  with  Three  more  French  that I decided  to  have a re  make  of  - primed  and  some  basic  paint on  -  faces and hands/belts and  other bits of colour.
