The contrast looks good to me. I can't remember what timber they supplied with the kit.

Looking good. I take it the interior framing makes the hull more solid....especially with the downward frame pushed into the keel?

Looking forward to seeing this get your treatment.
She is a beautiful yacht.

Beautiful work, Tom.
Tapering masts is not my favourite task. Maybe I should use a small plane.

I hope that you do! It'd be great fun to see what you do with it. I also couldn't help but see that CAF Le Coureur as an imminent build in you signature, I'd love to see that build as well. I've been going back and forth whether or not to pre-order one (I'm currently holding temptation at bay, but wow is it hard... hmm now that I think about it may you should stick with the Alert instead of tempting me further 😁).
Yes, Coureur and also the Amati Victory prototype. My VM Alert will have to stay in its box a while longer yet. 🤣

Someone has ordered the kit - this from SoS
Funny, check one of the comments. That guy, Janos, is a doofus extraordinaire. He decided that he'd boycott everything Chinese because of COVID, yet probably relies on Chinese tech to create and post that message.

I'm so pleased you found the instructions easy to understand, and from what I can see, they work well!
Lovely work so far, and I can't wait to see another Fifie in my regular updates here.
