  1. You're off and running Bob! She's going to be fun to watch coming together!
  2. Those gratings are looking sweet Tom. I'm gonna have to remember that "good-side bad-side" thing about them.
  3. Looks good now Robb, not sure what else you could add to it, unless maybe a piece of clear plastic to the round viewing port to simulate glass.
  4. Here's some pics of the Connie's stove as it is now Jay.
  5. Nice work on the dead eyes and chain plates. As far as the brass fixture, my best guess would be probably a compass.
  6. Just got on the site myself Nenad. It seems Sucuri wouldn't let me post or even get in either for 2 or 3 hours. Nice work on those catheads.
  7. Your planking is looking mighty fine there Mark. Don't know what you could have been worried about, because it seems like you've got a good handle on it.
  8. Looks like time well spent to me Robb. Your end-result looks great, and that's what it's all about.
  9. Maybe a paint with a flatter sheen, or a quick wipe with a thinner?
  10. Likewise, I'm sorry to hear about these problems Dave. Our ships can be fixed relatively easy, but fixing our health problems is usually more complicated. Hoping the best for your surgery.
  11. Very nice! I agree with Steve! The design of these older ships has always intrigued me.
  12. The chain-plates look fine Robb! The cabin looks good as well, and for the walnut, Jason should have exactly what you need as he carries it in his store. http://www.crowntimberyard.com/Wood-Species.php As for the pins, the smaller ones should be good unless there will be more than one line on it, then maybe, the 10 mm would be better. Cheers
  13. Not a good design idea, since that, essentially, would be a self-inflicted vibration caused by the off-set of the blade. It would eventually tear the bearings and bushings in the motor up. P.S. Kurt has a better idea with the stacking of the blades, Provided the arbor's deep enough to handle stacks.
  14. Yeah------I was thinking of having that one blown up and framed, then properly located in the apartment as a pre-notification for company.
  15. I don't think there is a 3" or 4" dado blade out there Tom, but Thurston Mfg. might be a place to check for that or even blades with a thicker kerf, for cutting slots. http://thurstonmfg.com/
  16. Magnificent Danny!! A beautiful cutter for your beautiful Vulture!! Well done!! Cheers
  17. Outstanding detail on those guns Ken. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Always a great learning experience Ed. Thanks for posting your methods.
  19. Outstanding work Danny. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me!
  20. The brass fittings make a nice contrast to the darker wood. Looks great!
  21. Pretty sweet there Matt! Tiny's going to be a great helper. Be careful though! When the big Bawls boys get wind of the special attention you're paying Tiny, they're going to be kicking him around for sure. You might have to put him in protective custody.
  22. Those turned out good Nenad. Wish I had some cherry trees here. They're looking pretty tasty!
