  1. We said the same thing about the F-16 early on. Had some air start problems; the high AOAs (angles of AttacK0 they could generate, cut off the air entering the engine inlet. If the one burning ain't turning, it's a blivet and crashes. Reusing the kit cockpit bucket should ensure the nose area will have minimal fit issues. Watching with great interest, EG.
  2. Kit fitting is excellent. Your work fitting the "Office" is, also.
  3. Oh boy, a shiny Zipper. Looking forward to this build, EG.
  4. Nice and steady. You'll do fine. Like Yves said, we enjoy watching builds of ships from this era, too.
  5. Trainers never seem to get much love. They're both very nicely done. Congratulations.
  6. Best of luck with the eye doctor. It's definitely no fun when the peepers are malfunctioning. I had a long wait for cataract surgery last year. Really got out of sorts with the wait. At least you have an avenue for some work.
  7. Yep, still following this classic jet build.
  8. Nicely done, EG. Really like the flying ambulance version.
  9. Well, you could use an Omega, like I did when I flew. 😁
  10. It does look good. Silver is never easy.
  11. US camouflage markings are the Ghost Gray stars on the far right. The color markings are for uncamouflaged aircraft, like trainers and some transports. Although, they appear out of register. The red stripe should be centered in the white bar.
  12. Solid research, outstanding modeling skills. Welcome aboard.
  13. The Japanese radars were very primitive, so reductions to angles on surfaces were an esoteric concern. Stealth wasn't yet a concept for surface vessels. Your details are coming along nicely.
  14. Hellcats look good, as do the Catalinas. Is the Catalina scheme incorrect?
  15. I'm with Lou here. These kits were developed how many years ago? Ask Denis (Popeye) about the fit of "box scale" kits. The oldies are quite primitive compared to the current goodies. I'm sure some of you remember the Hawk kits with the molded om markings? 🙄 It would be nice if a manufacturer decided on a different model, instead of being the 4th version of USS Arizona or KM Bismarck. Most research of models into the 80s was deciphering markings and paint colors. We live in a Golden Age of scale modeling.
  16. Chris, I'm in too. Using a Shapeways hull will help a ton for the hull shape. Very nice.
  17. It looks good for the wood effect. Good technique.
  18. Kevin, I'm in too. Just remember Nihil illigitimus carborundum. Don't let the Bas****ds grind you down. This is another opportunity for excellence.
