Mark, I also remember someone else making them that way, I still have the pictures. I had gotten the pictures from MSW1 before the great crash. Thanks for also remembering this. -

Chris, Thank you for the replay. I agree with you as to what you have said. You have to do it the way the company wants it to be like you said it is not your model or you would do it you way. I will still be waiting for this to be finished and release to the public. I feel you are doing an excellent job and it will be a wonderful model because of the way you have done it. Thank you for keeping us updated with this project.

X-Y Attachment for Dremel
WackoWolf replied to Martin W's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
Glad that your happy with your setup. Like others I will be waiting for your review. Keep the pictures coming of what you have done wit this setup. -
Archangel, I agree with what you said about the Hegner, it is made by the same company that makes the dewalt saw. But it is also one of the top of the line saws, but it is also one the more higher price saws. What a person gets is base on what he or she can afford. I just hate getting something and end up down the road getting a better one which I should have gotten in the first place, you get what you payed for is very true. Just my 2 cents.

Jim, I have seen that PT boat a few time. I have taken my son to Battleship Cove a couple of time. Once when we gone there it was during one of there shows which I didn't know about and man now that was something to see. If anyone ever gets a chance it is worth seeing Battleship Cove.

Which kit are you doing, which company. There are plenty of logs for different company for that ship. Look and see if anyone else had the same problem. There is a know issue with the template for the gun ports. But without knowing which company am not sure about it. Like Anja suggest start a log and there are more people here that can help out with anything that comes up and can also warn you ahead of time about others stuff.

Modeler12, I did that on the same hand but the first finger, got in a fight and the saw won, smack down the middle. Guess it could have been worst, wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and also not using a stick. Like I have said before I got lucky, now I know better. Now if I could just get lucky and hit the lottery LOL.

Karl, Everytime I see a new update of your I just sit and stare at them When are you going to write a book. When is part 3 coming to the forum. I need more, I am like a little kid at Christmas time looking in the old Sears Toy Catalog. Anyone remember that far back.

Mark, Sorry to hear of your mishap but it could have been worst. I like what you said about learning about everything that can be done with a mill. The only limit is your mind, as long as you have it clamp and in the right jig\vise you can do anything. I went to Eastec 2013 yesterday in Springfield Mass. I have been about 3 or 4 times in the past years and that was how I new about BobCAM. I ended up buying the new version 25. I bought V24 a few years back and have been teaching myself how to use it right. In V24 you have the 4th axes, but it was only for indexing now with 25 you can also turn with the 4th axes so this means you can have the machine do your figure head using BobART and basically anything your mind can think about. I went yesterday because I wanted to talk to a tech without having to have to pay and after he show me what I didn't understand I ask him to show me about V25 and that was when he told me and show me what the difference was, and I had thought I could turn with V24 but found out I couldn't. I ended up buying the new version and got it at what I wanted to pay for it with the add ons that I wanted. It goes for 45000 on the web without the nestling and the lathe. I ended up paying 14000 for everything and then bug them to also send me a shirt. Hell I pay enough money I should get a shirt. The left hand is finally starting to heal a lot more so now to do some more learning. A person is never to old to learn something new. I love my toys. Now next is the house, and then the fun will finally get underway.
