Re: airbrush moisture trap
WackoWolf replied to rtropp's topic in Painting, finishing and weathering products and techniques
Model Expo does sell one, I got it on the last sale that they had. Check them out and see what they are charging for it, shouldn't be that much. But you might want to check places like Harborfrieght and Michaels and also Hobby Lobby this why you won't have to pay shipping. -
Robert, Excellent work on the cannons. Keep the pictures coming.

Squaring Mini Drillpress to Work?
WackoWolf replied to Jay 1's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
JMaitri and Tony, Sorry wrong pictures, those where from before these are Saturdays work. If you look the Gun port is finished, and also the step frame is done still need to be smooth out some more (but that part of the ship will be plank from the top to about two frames below the wales) Hmm now that I look at it again you will see the steps, either way I not that happy with that frame and will smooth it out more. -

Jay, Anytime I can be of help just give me a shout. I am still learning about getting the mill setup the way it should be everyday, the biggest thing for me is getting the software the way I want it to be. I am now is the stage of getting Mach 3 to run on a x64 platform which is a big issue right now, but hopefully sometime after the 15th of this month I will have it lick LOL. -
Gary, Everything I would like to say has already been said. Your work is outstanding and a pleasure to follow. Please keep the pictures coming I am always watching.

Squaring Mini Drillpress to Work?
WackoWolf replied to Jay 1's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
Jay, If you do a search for milling tram's on google you will find more. It was just that when I seen this one I fell in love with it, but I had to order it from the UK so I made sure I got a little something for the Lathe also. All in all I still spent under a $100.00 with the shipping, not to bad. Heck I spent more than that on collets and had to pay the shipping in the US LOL. -

What do you use your mill for ?
WackoWolf replied to captainbob's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
You can do anything you want with a mill, it can take you as far as your mind will go. But be warn it can also hurt you without any notice. You need to think three times and then check again, always make sure the piece is clamp down. Read everything you can get your hands on. And yes you can make your own tools, but remember you can also do that without a mill. A mill is more right on. You can design your own parts, but at the same time you can do this and cut them out with a saw and then sand down. It depends what do you want to do with the Mill, and what you want it to do for you. Do you want a regular mill or a cnc. You can use a CNC Mill like a regular, you just don't have the driver box turn on and then you can use the hand wheels. How much can you spend? Add ons cost money and there are more than you can count on your hands and feet. There is a lot to take into account, money space and what you want to do with it. It all comes down to you. If you go the CNC way count on spending a heck of a lot more money and time learning how to do it and try and do it right. You want to learn CAD it isn't easy trust me on that, and then you will need CAM another thing to learn. I am not trying to scare you just trying to let you know what your in for. I had a lot of PM's with Kevin about this and after he look around at different Mills he seen what they cost. Talk to him about this. If your just going to drill holes and things like that go with a good drill press and a X Y Table.
