G'day Mark Damm it's hard for you to know what is correct or not. Many years ago we had a Prime Minister named Malcolm Frazer, his famous quote is "life wasn't ment to be easy". I bet you know what he means now. Havagooday mate Greg

G'day Nils I find it impossible that each entry of yours is getting better every time. But you proved me wrong.congratulations mate. Regarding the new flash card for your camera. Try to format it in your camera. That might help. Your old card, try to turn off your camera and insert it and turn it on again. Allthebest Greg

G'day Mark I just enlarged the photo of the drawing and I discovered that it appears there is no "hull" drawing between "the Rails". The RED line is what should be shown IF it is a RAIL. To me it appears a SOLID roof with carvings. Havagooday Greg

G'day Mark Looking great mate. Can't wait for the carvings. I assume that you are doing the carvings above the window from the below photo. Havagooday mate and when is Janet having her surgery. Havagooday Greg

G'day Mark Absolutely splendid work. The knees are a good touch. This is not a criticism to your work, but if you ask me, the knees could be a but larger. Maybe to the edge which would match the photos which Keith had posted. Justy putting my penny's worth in mate. havagooday Greg

G'day Ulises I'm sorry for your 'disaster'. You are very courageous to attempt this very difficult replacement, and what I can tell, you are doing just fine. All the best mate. does it mean that you have to do make the other side aswell? Havagooday Greg

Thanks Nils for your answer. Brilliant! Is it possible that you can be MORE ambitious! Starting this build is more ambitious than me! The double peg clamps are brilliant and I'll be making a few for my arsenal. Havagooday Greg

G'day Nils What can I say, except "bloody marvelous". The 0.5mm railing rods looks so, so fragile. I would be scared to sneeze near it for the fear of braking it. I have said it before and I can say it again, your workmanship is outstanding mate. I've got a question though, how did you attached the railing to the deck? I can't see any holes where the post should go. Happymodelling Greg

Bad night Patrick I'm not pressing like on your log about the disaster! I'm so glad that there wasn't anymore damage. I assume that heart has dropped a beat or two. She's a sound boat Mattie and it will soon like new. Btw use a bottle of champagne not the floor when you want to Christian the ship. Allthebest Greg

G'day Marsalv I know that the canons carriage should be red, but it's a real shame that you have to cover the wonderful raw wood with paint. havagooday my friend Greg

G'day Patrick Beautiful and amazing details. The cupboard in the last photo of the ship is so tiny, but having 4 compartments on the doors......simply mind boggling. The way you done the chairs looks quite easy and simple, but on your scale.....what csn I say? Mind boggling again. I'm repeating my self because my brain in numb... Havagooday mate Greg

G'day Marsalv Having no duplicators even makes the work you done even more incredible. Your detailed work on the carriage is superb. Havagooday Greg

G'day Vince Incredible work on the bow section! Don't worry if the grating is a bit low. What you've done is top - notched. These difference makes your RW unique and it's your signature on this wonderful model. As Keith's model is different from yours and others, so are all of the other Euromodel's RW models because I believe that's the secret why these kits are so popular and challenging. I can see what you mean..... optical error is a funny thing. Bill, been away from this marvellous log for a while. As usual everything is just superb. I agree that there wouldn't be room for the extra 2 guns (as Mark has mentioned). I also agree with Lawrence when he said that this makes your Sovereign yours by these tiny difference. About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
