  1. Thank you gentleman for clearing up the issue. Darrell the images were a great help.
  2. Hi all, in preparing the mast before attaching yards and stepping. I'm confused by these pendants, once served with an eye splice, is the main stay passed through the splice and back down to be secured? Or is a hook attached to the stay and attached to the eye slice loop. I'm trying to get needed all standing rigging on the masts in place so when the yards are hung any additional standing and running rigging (stays and back stays) will be easier to install. Hope this is clear. Thanks for your help in advance. I wish you all and all those near and dear to you a joyous season. Mark
  3. Such a simple solution, will be giving it a try.
  4. Thanks for the likes guys. I've not posted for some time (life gets in the way). I'm at this point with the CS my plan is to finish the outer hull work, base paint and finish the cabins and put her aside for a while. Quite frankly this is not one of my favorite builds. I've attached some images of to date progress.
  5. I need some clarification... I've built and rigged the blocks to the mast with the exception of the shrouds lines... I am building the yards off model... Should I add the shroud lines to the masts step the masts and set the shrouds before mounting the completed yards or attach yards to the mast, step them and then set the shrouds. Thanks in advance for your help. Mark

  9. Hi, guys has any one had built Occre's Cala Esmeralda? I'm thinking about it for a project down the line. Can't find the kit contents at any of the sites. I'd like to know if it is double plank and what the woods are. In advance thanks for any you responses. Mark
  10. Ron, this definition is from the Sea Talk Nautical Dictionary. "Term: cockbill, cock-a-bill (adv) Definition: Suspended on an angle, such as the anchor when it is boused to the cathead, or the yards when they are tilted to signify that the ship is in mourning." Mark
