  1. I have never glued my masts. This way I can make adjustments as needed. The shrouds will keep the mast down. Mkes it esier to replase if you have an accident. David B

  3. Edward if you check there is a book titled Pilots about pilot boats and their history. It also has some photos and drawings that might give you some ideas. Have fun. David B
  4. Angus, your hoops look the proper dimension. They are loose for a reason. To go over any obstruction and to make it easier for the sail to be raised or liwered. I would leave well enough alone. David B
  5. Brian the festival is just a dream. For many of us it is either the total cost, health, or work related so I will miss seeing you and a other m amber who plan to go and wish everyone a good time and a lot of happy memories. David B
  6. Keeping all those frames aligned is probably a pain but looking good. David B
  7. Ken as for to much glue I use a small skewer that I shave flat on the end. And use this to apply glue as needed. Just enough to get the job done.. never straight from the bottle. David B
  8. Ken I went to fast on my Steeple chaser and the end result was not pretty. Go piece by piece and I think you will be happy with the end result. David B
