  1. Welcome!
  2. Planking was never my strong suit. I use straight pins to hold planks in place while drying. However, Chuck Passaro has a great guide/tutorial to planking on this site. He is one of the absolute best at planking. I plan to try his methodology on my next build.
  3. Thank you very much for the comments and all the likes! The belfry is carved and assembled. The bell is sitting next to it. It still needs painted.
  4. The railings around the sides of the gangway are up: Now, on to the belfry!
  5. Quick note, this is a combination of a kit and the AOTS, coupled with my relative inexperience, so the spacing of deck fittings isn’t going to be perfect.
  6. Next up on the agenda is the ship’s bell with accompanying belfry:
  7. Thank you very much for all the comments and the likes! The ladders are painted and installed: 30 posts for the rails have been made (including 4 extras): The trim around the top of the opening to the Upper Gundeck has been cut, but not painted yet: Stay healthy and stay safe!
  8. The ladders are assembled. One is slightly whopper jawed because I didn’t check the alignment quite as well as I could have when gluing the second side on. Thankfully, these will be hard to see around the ship’s boats.
  9. Welcome!
  10. The split beams are now installed. They require a bit of touch ups, but they are installed and the Upper Gundeck is now closed up.
  11. Thank you all! One set of split beams, some shaping required: I wish you all health and safety!
  12. I put up the hand ropes around the ladders heading down into the hull.
