Sorry to hear about the hardship. You did a good job on the mouse, although the word reminds me of something attached to a PC ...

A white Easter ... something different from a white x-mas. Hope you'll get back home soon and safe, Scott

That's some lovely metal work, Mark. It certainly looks like it is in scale, nothing to bulbous or grotesque. Very well done!!

Change the title of your build log ...? Go to your first post and edit it, there you can change it Cheers

Another quicky, Dan. Very beautiful build, and I loved the instructive setup of the log. Enjoyed it from start to finish, it almost looks as if it is easy! Cheers

Well done Marcus, especially for a first scratch build. Nice to see a Dutch ship too. Thanks for sharing

No a man on his horse wouldn't, his horse would be all over Interesting solution, mixing Japanese and German racking. Looks like it is the way it should though

Your bofors turned out real good Piet, I like the way you mounted them, doesn't make it look static

(propeller: I know the parts are laying on my bench ... waiting, like you. to busy with intruding life and work) Looks good Mark MIKE. Usually they use a light colour on the lanyards, maybe not on this type of vessel. You start at the top deadeye, and end at the top as well, so you can fasten it to the riging above the deadeye

only 500m! I read the scale as 1200 Besides that, I always mess up those scale calculations ... that's why I shouldn't scratch build, I would make a Titanic triple it's real size!!!

When I see how you tackled all the other "misfits" and improvements you made I can't see how this little piece of red deck will give you a problem. Lovely work on the anchors and flag poles. A mere 2.5 m railing, how long would it have been in reality ... something like 3 km? stroll in the park for you

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
