  1. Snail pace ... I'm the same, I just do not know whether I'm one with or without the housing, since the weight will certainly drag me futher down
  2. Nice colour deck you've got there, mebby some dark stripes from "burning rubber" She is coming along rather good ... even at your yearly update rate. A good hoist of ships too ... you'll have the comming years planned in full!!
  3. Great picture with the lens. I know a cheaper way to stop smoking, but hey, if this works for you, clincker on!!! Right, it won't get any less, your occupation, she will be very much present ... sizewise too
  4. I think you'll manage with the live example, and xken's tutorial. On the other hand it is odd a 17cm prop is unobtainable ... I'll have a look with the RC boys here in the Netherlands, maybe I can find you something
  5. Nice work Dan, you could have taken a look at one of Greg's (RGL) latest builds. Both Yamato and Ise have them throw-away-systems for airplanes. It seems you are in a somewhat lower gear than with the previous build. At least I can keep up now
  6. Just scale it down At least you have a good example to work from ... can't you switch it against a smaller one ...
  7. The explosion ... keep it dust free ... well yes, if it stays under water Problem with casting is you can't get at it anymore, it's just a block. If I do the casting wrong, I won't even see the sub ... although, then I could say it is submerged in the North Sea <lol>
  8. Those spreaders really came out well. It's that I know it's a model build log, else ... it might as well be the real deal
  9. Edit the post, in the bottom part of the editor you see the images from your post. When you move your mouse over the small picture you see a '+' sign on the left and a wastebasket-icon on the right klick that one, and away it is
  10. Your shading worked out well. I like the addition of the deck ... quite an improvement. Thanks Scott, however, those aren't my builds but Greg's (RGL). I'm nowhere near on the Musashi compared to where you are presently with your build - I'm still bending and adding PE, just finished the last of the rails for the airplanes, next up for me putting together the tripple AA guns.
  11. Thanks I like the big screen addition, as my eyesight does deteriorate ! A little weathering ... and in the end it is a heap of rust and chipped paint, ready for the scrap yard
  12. As Robin wrote. you can see a very good weathered ship if you take a look here and another one here . He'll be starting a new one ... most probably worth while visiting ... You are doing rather well Scott. I'm hard pressed to do mine as well as you do! Cheers
  13. Darn, missed the start and front row seating Nice bit a PE ... interesting build too ... not much weathering as far as I can see from the "live" images
  14. Maybe I should get me a kit like this, if they deliver such wines with it ...
  15. Your metal work improves with every update Pat. She already has quite some magnificent juwelry ...
  16. Hello maaaslo, Welcome to this build log, although, nearly at it's end ... An impressive feat to get that done ... I do not think I have the skills to pull it off, though. I will try to do something which could look a like ... Thanks for sharing, much appreciated
  17. It pains my eyes, like the PE on plastic models ... well done, Clare
  18. Nice work on the doors. Keep your distance with the camera when you get to close to the object ... I get visually impaired Good luck with the spray job
  19. I had some walnut from Corel which split when I merely looked at for bending, so I got me some (better?) which split when I bent it very far. I would recommend steaming or boiling water ... the laminating sounds like a good idea
