  1. If you can afford one now, even if it unjustifiable, don't wait until you can't buy it anymore. I bought one last year, and I knew I wouldn't use it straight away, but I had the money. I just recently used it to make a tray for a paintshaker for small paint bottles (Tamiya, Vallejo, etc). This year I will be buying some accessories for it, and if I "feel lucky" I even might get me the thickness sander
  2. Try 50%, and USE THE BRAND'S OWN THINNER or you have a clogged airbrush Didn't I write on this paint in my build of the H-class tribal (current build)
  3. The Mini ... the BLMC version or do you mean the Beamer, for the latter doesn't even come close to driving Mini
  4. about the running ... well something British ... good choice though since they are hard to come by, I wouldn't mind to take a spin in either a Ferrari 250 GTO or a Jag D-type
  5. thought to finish the railings today, but work had different plans. I've been tackled before I could even start ... ah well, there will be other days and weekends ... seydlitz needs to wait a wee bit longer
  6. very confusing the Yamato behind it ... you really are a freight train at speed ... lovely work on those structures
  7. you have been very busy. Did you etch the brass yourself or has that been done elsewhere? glasing looks marvelous. You are getting very skilled at those miniatures
  8. In your dreams mate ... in your dreams. Tomorrow (Sunday) first some work to be done, after I hope to finish riggin on the H-class build. That would bve nice, I could continue with the SS after that ... - hull has been glued, and portholes drilled, not much to show yet
  9. Got the PE today ... an f-word lot of money for little PE if you ask me, Very disapointed when compared to the Pontos and Sky Hawk for Musashi to this
  10. Doing both sides!!!!!!!? Very nice OC. will you shape the rope in a roundish way with pva?
  11. That's the hand of your youngest? ... Nice rigging. I did the verticals on my current build first too, added the bridge later. Worked a whole lot easier than rigging afterwards, which really is a pain. I presume it is how we evolve as a model bungler
  12. The triangles you use for strengthning ... could those be a tad to long down the inside wall ... If you bent the railing round the nail, you have had the stanchion crooked before bending. On the Smit Nederland and Rotterdam I only fixed the first few stanchions, then mount it, so you get the bend at the right spot, and can still move the stanchions around. If you want to paint it before you do the final mounting, you kan fix the stanchions with a drop of CA and take the railing of for painting
  13. Jack, whilst you still can get to it easily, why don't you cut those top masts of and replacce them with a brass rod as you stated. Drill a hole on the spot where you uct it off and CA the rod in. Will be a lot nicer ... you're doing great mate If Sunny needs some help to boss those rafter dwellers around I'll send "the Bitch" as reinforcement
  14. Did you spray paint the "linoleum" decks or use a brush? It starts to look like a (well used) ship instead of a hull ...
  15. Didn't help much I reccon ... She won't skin him, than he will be useless to her ... Coventry is much better ... she could also send him to the Netherlands ... on foot
