Thanks very much Patrick, here`s one of the small battle station crews am pleased you like it.... Nils put some wooden splints through the wheel axis ends, still 5 guns to make I`m thinking of using 3mm double sheave blocks for the rigging. The breech rope ends will be shackled to the ships bulwark

Many thanks for your kind words, Zappto, Dave, Bill and Antony, Zappto, the arms are basing on the Amati plan relating to the number of guns..... Dave, glad to have you you on board, thanks for your appreciation, I`m pleased you like the process Bill, good question, (where the timbers came from) I`ve asked myself this many times as well.... The motivation for doing a Chebec came when I first saw the beautiful lines, but I was looking for a smaller ship than the "Le Requin" model, and so could base a scratch build per plan on the shape of the enlarged Amati hull with several special features.... Antony, thanks for your kind words, I think the guns were of rather small caliber, maybe 6 Pounders or so, but they better not take up a gun battle with a 24 gun squarerigger or larger.... Antony, many sincere thanks again, there are some PM mails in your in-box, unless it should be overflowing in case you did`nt read yet.... Nils also many thanks to all who activated the "likes" button

Update : put the 7 guns on the starboard deck, placing them between the gratings, for checking positions (dry fit) The other 7 guns are in progress. Also some additional decore (sea horses and dolphins) Nils the barrels are from RB, I chose 40 mm length instead of 32 mm hope the space allows enough room for rigging the guns later on...

Hi Jeff, Thank you very much for looking in and for your kind words, much appreciated !.... When seeing your avatar I could remember that in combination with "chasseur" it had something to do with the SIB 5-mast P-liner Preussen, an interesting and facinating ship I was myself interested to scratch-build in scale 1:96, in the quality of my Pamir build, but then made a drawback because of the costs Nils

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
