Very nice! It looks very true to the original and is a nice addition to your realistic looking model. /Matti

Ive had a busy week, but managed to get som time to paint the poles. It took some time as there are many colors on them and IMO was hard to get uniform with the rest of the ship, so a lot of paint mixing and blending. They are really fragile as they get very small areas to glue to the ship, so no touching (something some friends have a problem understanding when they see her). So now the stern is finished and I can start to look (with some fear) at the gallery sculptures. Hopefully I can show some figures next update and not just melted plastic... Time to get that soldering iron Nigel. /Matti

Did a comparison between the 1:10 and my BB if someone is thinking about getting the BB kit. The Landström heritage in some of the sculptures are easy to spot (if you have the Landström book, youll notice), and some misstakes I did are also there, but shapewise I think BB did a good job and with some fiddeling with the positioning of the parts, it can get a nice Vasa look. /Matti

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah I had a good time, I was surprised when my motherin law gave me her old Levin guitar from 1955. Its used and very vintage, but it looks and sounds very cool old and will be perfect for some blues. Im enjoying this age, started to learn to relax and enjoy the now a bit more. /Matti

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
