  1. You know Glen, if you need to muddy the shore a bit you could use some of that cows nervousness , or Sacred Scowts Scat, because we can't use the B word lol.

Just fling it over, it should stick to anything  lol.

Did you know Christopher Columbus  brought  the start of the Texas Long Horn cattle  when he came to America the second time  in 1493? Who knew , Spanish Longhorns . Lol.

Your work is so amazing my friend.

  2. Well done!! Here I thought your next post would be a Diorama with one of the clamps with a robe walking on the water. Lol

Great job my friend,  throw a coat of amber shellac on it , it will shine.

I think you're having way more fun then I did, lol but that's what it's all about.   Great job, thanks for posting, the First Mate  wants to know which one is Jesus.

  3. I think you pulled off another excellent build. The wave at the front sounds good, to hide the support. Would the ship be moving  pretty fast , ramming speed?. There would be a  larger wave, with lots of foam at the front. But who I am I to tell the master of masterpieces what he should  do. Lol.    It is looking truly epical, as always.

  4. Thank you so much, @allanyed, I sent this info to my good friend  @Gabek. And based on the info, he made me 20 cannons that when fully rigged will look marvelous.  The right size and shape, Thank you both, can't go wrong with friends like you guys.

PS  I only have volume lll of TFFM, lol.

  5. Well I got side tracked again,  lol, this time the life boat. I was getting ready to tackle the planking  and saw this  metal life boat,  so I looked at a lot of Pegasus logs, and 9 out of ten scraped the boat.

Well  every time you turn around on this ship you got to up grade, cannons, swivel  guns, stove, life boat, and I have to buy more blocks if it is rigged a certain  way, they don't  come with the kit. Sheees.

Oh well, I can't keep buying  accessories,   So this is what I come up with for my life boat.20230831_141327.thumb.jpg.17a888d8a13bab0ff888e5248ed07b51.jpg

I open the plastic bag,  and ll this was inside. The little peice of instructions  didn't make sense.  There is no bell on the life boat, and these bars are for what.lol.

Getting  some ideas  from the logs this is what I came up with.20230902_145736.thumb.jpg.a6d0326dba3150a41dd7987e2d2376bb.jpg

I got some oars that when sanded down will look pretty good  I think .

Marvin tells me to put this all away and come back to it later, I agree lol. I really want to get at my planking but there  are way to many distraction.  And outside work is calling again 🙄,  but I am hard of hearing  lol. I do plan on putting the life boat away till later in the build, this was just fun to do and I like it.20230902_145717.thumb.jpg.b16f59efe7af08a6bff3ce2f35e84fc3.jpg

  6. Peter, Andrew, add a couple more  and have one sleeping on a pillow at the stern, but I think that's been done before lol.

It is your boat, as far as the mast goes,  it was built in 33 A. D. So it would have been pretty simple, but like I said it's  your boat what ever you decide it will make your's wonderful . You will be happy with the results,  great work my friend.  😬

  7. It looks good to me. Once the sail and rigging is done it will be fine. I never did a thing to my mast, and it looks good . I just double checked  to make sure lol.

Are you going to use amber shellac  for the finish?20230511_155725.thumb.jpg.862886dda1ef095a525cb0b364739c8d.jpg It looks good and easy-to-use.  I got mine at Lee Valley.  I mixed up  4 once, but you only need two.  Great stuff. It will make the boat shine .

Regarding the rigging   the two wire lines lose alot of white paint  when you install them  , thouch them up after you get them to how you like them, last thing I did on mine. Great work my friend.
