You are saying that it is rough painting..... You can say that ! It looks like the jar of paint has exploded !!!!!!! Colour looks good when you do a fine job with the painting...... I also notice that when i magnify the picture, the hull needs an other layer of paint....I see white stripes.......

Jason, Your serving is great ! It's just what you are saying....practicing ! And just like Jim, I also use Gutherman thread ! They have so much colours that there is always a colour that you need. And it looks if you have made it with a rope walker Easy to do also the seizing around the rope, not fuzzy. Try is one times. And between you and me.....I also bought a serving machine from Alexey. Last thing to do for me, wish you are Merry Christmas and a good New Year !

Hi Mick, Sorry for the misunderstanding..... The deadeyes where are still empty are not for shrouds but for stays. Each part of the mast has his stay what goes on to the deadeye. When I finished the ratlines, you will see what I mean.

No Mark, November will not work ! You are retired and do not have much time to do modelling Like your answer to Matti. Building is always spending more times to see at things goes where, when, and how things goes....

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
