so, you need to remove that one as well. would it help you, {repaint and make your marks} if you were to make a jig for the height that the windows should be at. just a small piece of flat stock cut to the height that the frame should be. make the marks for the centering and with the structure flat on the table, lay the jig against the front of it. locate the part using the centering marks and the jig. there is also slow setting CA out there on the market. what were you going to put in the frames? darkened cello? you could also use the same jig on all the windows, so they will all be at the same height.

so....the plot thickens.......I'm thinking that it did a bit more than remove paint.......am I right?

I've run sail cloth through the printer...........I have the the Testor's decal maker. I import the flag design, size it with the program, and then print. then I spray it with the decal bonder to prevent the ink from running. it's easy to shape after it is assembled on the rigging.

looks very nice Vivian.......most of the time, you can stretch the scale a little, and you can get away with it. you just have to be careful on how much you do it. you did well here though.......and you can build in a little extra detail to compliment it. very nice deck work hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly
-
it looks great Tim..........if your only sin was staying away from the bench, then your forgiven. there's no time limit an easy way to repent, is to get that detail on there! looking forward in seeing what it will look like!

you've really put a lot of fine detail into the rigging.......some of the tackle is simply a work of art. great job Gil!

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
