  1. Hi Steen I thought I'd let you know that I can't find Your Heimdahl on MSW. I've used the search function but it only brings up this post. If you could post some more photos, it'd be great. Many thanks Patrick
  2. Hi all A very quick update. I'm still working on the internal bulkheads and getting the layout of the accommodation sorted out. She looks very rough, but, there's still lots of work to go! Cheers and all the best! Patrick
  3. Very nice Steen! That's one hell of a bow wave she's pushing, which shows just how fast she was travelling. A good turn of speed, for sure. Shots like these remind me of my RC yachts which I used to sail. Ahhh, brings back some really nice memories. All the best! Patrick
  4. Hi Steen Thanks and I'm looking forward to the maiden voyage! Is this the first RC Yacht that you've built? I'd be surprised if it is, because you certainly seem to know how to build a strong and sturdy hull. As far as sailing ability goes, twelve pounds of lead is sure to give quite a good deal of stability, but of course, it really depends upon the wind and waves on any given day. Hopefully we'll be able to see some photos/videos of the completed boat underway. All the best! Patrick
  5. Lovely work! Judging from the photos, your ship looks huge, which means that she'll sail very realistically when underway. I look forward to following along. Cheers Patrick
  6. Hi Mick You've definitely made it look very easy! I reckon you're going to enjoy your 'livener' later on. Well deserved. Cheers Patrick
  7. Hi Dimitris Looking very nice! I reckon you must be pretty chuffed about getting to this stage, because once the rigging's all squared away, you'll soon be starting on the Royal Caroline. Cheers Patrick
  8. Hey Mick Yep! Makes perfect sense to me. You're doing a great job, especially as those Hawse pieces are tricky little 'so and so's' to do! Cheers Patrick
  9. Hi Mehmet Are you sure that you're secretly not a Hollywood special effects master, because your weathering and realism is top-notch! Well done Cheers Patrick
  10. Beautiful Bob. I especially love the counter stern. You just can't beat designs like that. Well done Cheers Patrick
  11. Hi Denis I love the wheelhouse with the windows and double doors. The glazing looks to be a bit of a challenge, but you'll get that sorted pretty darn quickly, I'm sure. Overall, she's sure coming along nicely. Cheers Patrick
  12. Thanks Denis and Nick I hope you're both right! No pressure of course... Thanks and all the best! Patrick
  13. HI Piet I would hate to be the person that let Gwen down!!!!! I would think that he would probably never do it again, that's for sure! All the best with the rest of the build. She's sure looking good. Cheers Patrick
  14. Very nice work, Dave. Good luck for tomorrow and maybe we could see the presentation on You Tube (hint hint)?
  15. Hi Piet I agree with David Your commitment to accuracy and details is nothing short of commendable. Together with your epic O19 model, you've got every reason to be pretty chuffed with yourself! Well done Cheers Patrick
  16. Hi Frank What a marvellous job you've done! Clean, neat and precise workmanship; from the planking to the rigging. I especially love the figurehead...if only I could mould/carve like that! Top stuff and congratulations, once again. All the best Patrick
  17. HI Kevin Really, really, really impressive! I can see that your four legged friend agrees, as well. Cheers Patrick
  18. Hi Dimitris Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.. The details are really popping out! Just marvellous. Cheers Patrick
