Thankyou Lawrence, Im really enjoying the build again, I got so close to just giving up on her last year, but once the masts started being worked on my attitude to the build changed, But hopefully I can progress quite a lot this year and get her to the completed stage, the final decision has been made on my next build, after lots of changing my mind, the money is set aside, just dont want to buy it yet in case that gets started and delays this, It will be the USF Confederacyhttp://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/model-shipways-confederacy-MS2262.html

robipod, I tend to force my self to sit, but as I and not in my normal mancave at present i dont have the right amount of leg room to make my self comfy, as for the build - hope to have her completed this year, Im already thinking of what sail material to use and how to make all the spars and finding decent drawings for the stuns to be deployed

Good Evening everyone Moved from the foremast for a while and finished of the waist by fitting the ladders and safety ropes, tonight started on the mainmast standing rigging, so the serving machine is back out and making the pendants, which is a lot harder with the dog around chasing the cotton reel

Daddy Rabbit good evening, The hull is built up and has all PE added then primed and painted including the deck so that all the bits that pass through the wooden deck have a paint coat on them and avoid lots of masking later on then add the wooden deck, which is sticky backed most of the superstructure is module built and added at a later stage Good luck with the build

Happy New Year everyone well I completed the foremast shrouds and ratlines and now looking for home to put the back stays, presently looking to see how the Breast stay fits - looking at some builds they tend to vary the height of the blocks, but looking at Gils I might leave it there, unless someone lets me know

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
