  1. Richard, I am a little confused - do you have a Byrnes Table saw or not? That is my first question as the machines aren't available anymore for the moment. The Byrnes table saw is powerful enough for crosscut using a sliding table. But for thin cuts you have other options. In your situation there is Shortline Chopper II I have the original one based on the paper-wood board. I would recommend the new chopper or other electric cutters that are available,
  2. Patrick, I just finalized reading through your build log. Your own little take on for the Calypso is really nice. Planking the hull was a really nice touch. Cheers!
  3. Scott, considering how BB's instructions are and you're taking on this kit, it surely looks good.
  4. Jeff, I am baffled by your precision of Confederacy. Looking good! I have the same kit waiting for me, but not to be touched until I am done with others.
  5. It is hard to replicate metal and wood surfaces on plastic, but this looks really nice.
  6. Erik, that looks so good you don't need any more build. Clean and simple.
  7. Denis, your ability to create this model is just amazing. The rendering is outstanding, but I have seen small non-noticeable areas where the "wood fiber" is not in the correct direction. I don't care about it; it still looks amazing.
  8. Think in this way, a smaller build area will make it a better organized and cleaner! I have too much build space making it cluttered. Bench is L-shaped, short one 8ft and long one 16ft. 54sq.ft (metric, almost 4. 5sq.meter) Then I have two movable tables both cover 8sq.ft each. And that doesn't included areas for machines. I must be crazy!
  9. Alan, at that scale you are doing amazing! I am having a hard time at 1:350 scale.
  10. I don't see any issues with Neverland Hobby, and yes sad the store in Brussels got their name taken.

  13. Seems to a lazy day at the yard, what happened to all the carpenters? Are they relieved for the day? 😄 Just joking Denis, that rendering is very nice and clean, you have done a very good job so far.... and we all know more is to come.
  14. Sad tragic! Would be a beautiful model to build.
  15. As Srenner wrote about the nano particles, that will be one of the critical number to look at. Resin is brittle but does provide very good detailing that regular filament printing can't do. Another aspect the higher (quality) cost of a printer the better details. I, myself is looking into purchasing a resin printer as an addition to my filament printer.
  16. That has happened to me as well, brownish tone and separating...
  17. Take the CD to someone who has a drive. It should contained a printable file. You should be able to print out the instructions at a printing. Good luck
