Hi Ferit,

much thanks for your interest. I don't think that the scratch build is a other universe :) . Most of the kit builders are doing much scratch on his models ;)

I'm planking the portside currently. Only what I can show is the same as on the starboard side. That's the reason to show the next photos if the portside planking is finished.

Nice metal work, by the way :)

Thank you Augie but metal parts are kit supplies...

Incredible Ferit. Beautiful work as usual. :)

Randy, thank you but I really wish if only it could be me who had produced the own metal work like you...

Excellent work, Ferit - the alignment of your shrouds is perfect - did you use a jig or just eyeball them? Whatever the approach, the result is fantastic.

Also - on the right hand side of the first photo there's a small single block on a pendant on the aft side of the channel - what line is this for? Just curious! Thanks for sharing these great photos!

The fittings still need to be put in!

Thank you again Commodore Augie for your belief in me...

My words had been said only because of my anxiety of having been praised by your kind comments that I had not deserved... My apologizes... m1521.gif

Hello, Ferit!

This morning I've taken a piece of time to see all your log. It has been a pleasure for my eyes: a very clean and interesting work. The frigate Berlin is one of my favourite ships, being a Pinas, and it's the model that many years ago brought my interest on the Dutch navy of the XVII century. I've seen, you've done a large amount of good and proper modifications ... Will be the next model perhaps a scratch build?

Cheers

Alex

Thank you hamilton, it's always a pleasure to read your encouragements, your kind words...

Luckily I had joined MSW...

I am always all smiles when someone asks something about my work...

I used a ruler... But in a manner of "Eye - Backsight - Foresight"... "Eye - Ruler - Shroud"...

And the small single block is for the topmast backstay, its angle is little more closer to the right angle than shrouds'... For now I coiled its rope to the handrails for working easily...

Thank you Alex for the kindness...

If one day I believe in myself to improve my skill close to yours, I could jump into the scracht... Maybe...

Hi Ferit,

Nothing special about the rope he is saying……...

I think there is something special about Ferit! I think Ferit could use dental floss and his rigging would still look amazing! :D
