No but I think I’m about to.....

Its a cracking film  -  fictional in the film but based around  Kelly with Mountbatten  as her Captain.

I hadn't seen it before either.   Interesting that the camera moves with the swells even below deck.   I'll watch the whole thing tomorrow.

Ships funnels. Lots of opportunities to improve them, basic plastic pieces and a bit of PE. Drilled out the tops701C128A-504D-4981-AC29-3469EEE1D327.thumb.jpeg.8970b14cce628e9991d40121d416e12f.jpeg and shorted the rear funnel (which was done during a refit and added some interior detail. Not too clear what the two groves you cut in the funnel in the next to last picture are for Greg. They seem to be missing in the last picture. The interior funnel detail is a nice addition. Don't see that too often.

Thanks Ken

I think I figured that out.......................... After you told me!  With the explanation broken up all through the pictures of what was going on and why, kind of eluded me while in the middle of my morning coffee.:(

Black and white photo.

No marking = 4th Destroyer Flotilla

One white over two red = 13th Destroyer Flotilla

One white over two black = 19th Destroyer Flotilla

Date of photo = 17th November 1941

At that time Zulu, whilst technically part of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla, was working out of Gibraltar where both the 13th and 19th Destroyer Flotillas were based.

As I said before, dandyfunk! The little grey blob is the Davit supplied in the kit, so a bit of a bash job from spares and a more respectable rendition.

The brass winch is from Infini (not even mentioned in the instructions but on the plan and photos) and a little pile of wood stores.

the rest of it is deck infil for want of a better term.
