Quite the ruckus going on the Astrolabe, the Penguins are very noisy  😳

I put the Pegasus in the display case,  it is not finished, just the standing rigging is done. I quess that's why the cheer from the Penguins lol.

I just like seeing it in the display  case, I could stare at it for hours.  Between looking at the ship in the display case and looking at some incredible logs on MSW,  I am not getting  much done lol.

A few pictures  of the Pegasus figurehead,  I put it on , it should be safe behind all those ropes. Lol. Kurt Builder says, that I seem to be in a hurry  , that I should slow down and enjoy the yard work  ,  I told him , Boom Irons. Lol. He just roared  🤣

So with  the standing rigging just about done , time to dig out the case of yards and go to it. I decided to start with the Bowsprit mast yards first,  I don't know what it is about Bowsprit mast,  it just keeps drawing me in. Lol

So we are going to pop this case and start some yard work,

Another tip that buddy Gabe gave me was to stick all my pointy things in strifrom,  that way you always know were your threader is, belive me they get lost fast

 Lol

The foremast yards are finished  as far as I can go without putting them on.

This is the lower foremast  before painting, and after. The boom irons went well, a slight mistake,  but not to noticeable  to me lol.

The foremast yards are ready to hang, but not just yet. My plan is to finish the  main mast yards then the Mizzen yards followed by the boom and gaff. Lots of fun work ahead. It is get even more exciting each day, but  there is a football game on today, last one of the year for us Canadians 😀,  followed by a hockey game. So I am done for the day, 🏈🏈

I have to start making  a list of people  to thank,  it  is getting  long and I am overdue for an update.

Main yards  just need to be rigged and after that a final coat of paint

There is a pile of blocks just on these two yards 😳  foot ropes are easily done, thanks to the threader.

The booms  irons went great , you just got to do a couple then you get the hang of them. As I stare over to the Astrolabe,  I can see what a mess of the irons I did. After I finish  the Pegasus  I will go fix them,  I have a little  bit more  knowledge  about them , but that could be dangerous  lol.

I need to order some more cleats, I figure I should need about 26 more, an order was placed  with buddy @Gabek , I also only  had one fiddle  block and need 12. I talk to Gabe , he says he'll make me 50 of each. Pick them up Thursday . Lots to do before then that's for sure, it just wonderful. .   Thanks for looking in.

PS.   Forgot to tell you  Gabe is not taking any orders till winter of 2027.

@buntzi, in the four years that I have been  modeling, @Chriswatton at  Vanguard Models have been the best for explaining and telling were things go and what size. The Pegasus  was designed by Chris, I have done six Amati Models the Pegasus was the easiest to follow, that's why my next model will be a Vanguard Model. Instructions and  the help you get from  Vanguard  is top notch..

yesterday  I had the privilege to go have lunch  with fellow  modeler @Gabek.  I needed to give him some needle threaders and my resin  man made me 50 cleats and 50 fiddle blocks,  with round edges beautiful  stuff 20251120_202024.thumb.jpg.b5ad6659b274cbdb41e7af3a503f8982.jpg

@Keith Black thank you also for all your help, and putting  up with my Neanderthal  humor lol. Keith has  lead me to logs of unbelievable  perfection on rigging . The Texan , @Glen McGuire, the best SIB man there ever was, Thanks.   Also

@John Ruy, @LyleK1, @Loracs, @HardeeHarHar@Landlubber Mike @Bryan Woods, @GrandpaPhil, @Ronald-V , @Ryland Craze@ccoyle @Coyote_6 @aliluke @Dave_E  @mtaylor  Just to name a few, and everyone  that I missed And the new member, who like my ships .

And  MARY of MSW, and all MSW/NRG.

So just a bunch of tieing off,  and she  will be done :D

It  Has a little  more yellow  than on the box, oh I see the anchors  need to be added,  and a ladder  🪜  on the side of the ship. Lol As  @John Ruy would say, Details, it's all in the Details.  :D.

My apologies if I missed some one on the thank you list, I just thought  of a few more in The U K. Next time

My experience is very limited (going towards none) and I only had contact with Artesania and Amati. Since I'm pretty much locked to Speedy for future build, I've downloaded and read the instructions. I fully agree that from what I've seen so far (I mean even without the main drawings), the instructions for Vanguard's kits are top notch and second to none.
