I'm just posting what I have of my Niagara log. Well, mainly it's going to be just pictures at first. I am getting close to an actual update point though.

Hi Patrick,

Your ship is looking fantastic.  I am particularly impressed with your ships boats as I currently have a thing about ships boats

Currently I have put mine aside as not turning out as well as I had hoped.  Yours look great.  The masting and rigging is also looking very good.

Nice work

Cheers

Slog

Gentlemen, thanks a ton for looking in on my build log. Now that all of the rejoining efforts are out of the way, we can all get back to our builds. Sjors, all seats up front are still available! Slog, I decided to go that route with my ship's boats because I wasn't happy with the bread and butter method in the kit. They were good for creating the plugs to frame my own ship's boats though. I should have some more work posted later today. I have my main mast set in place now and will begin to get the shrouds in place.

Hi Patrick....... nice to see you up and running..... I don't think I've mentioned this before, but your rigging is just awsome..... how did you do your shroud tops? they look like the real thing..... It's too late for me to do on mine now because they'er finished...... but I really like the way you did yours... maybe next time :)

Hi Patrick-

I followed your Niagara quietly in the past but now I'll be keeping up.  And we've got to get Brockel away from the 'dark side' long enough to finish both Niagara and Syren.

VERY nice, clean work.

Hi Patrick,

It's good to see your photos back. Hopefully the other Niagara builders will also repost theirs. Do you happen to have any photos of how you assembled the stern? I"m struggling a bit and the photos realy help. I just completed posting the Washburn tug and need to do the same for my Niagara (hopefully tomorrow).

Take care.

Regards,

Larry

Hi Patrick,

I'm brand new to your build, and glad I found it!  She looks just great.  I especially like the serving on your shrouds and stays -- really fantastic!  And your small boat is awesome too.

I'll be following you the rest of the way.

Cheers,

Robert

Hi guys. Thanks again for looking in and glad to have you aboard.

Carl, glad to have you looking in on my Niagara.

Frank, thanks for the compliment on the rigging. It's my favorite part of building actually. I served the tops of the shrouds but other than that haven't really done anything special with them.

Augie, Brockel always has very clean and precise work. I would like to see him finish up with his Niagara as well.

Popeye, thanks for stopping in.

Larry, I don't have any photos of the stern in progress. In fact, my Niagara was half was completed before I knew of this site. If you haven't already, when you get your Niagara log up and running, post some pictures of where the trouble is and I may be able to jog my memory to lend some advice.

Robert, thanks for stopping in and having a peak.

Ken, we all need to get some finished Niagara's in our gallery.

Thank you Patrick for taking the time to put your Niagara log back up.  Sure is a nice job you are doing and it's an inspiration for me.  I am just starting on the masting and rigging so this is extremely helpful!

Well... I'm off to a great start on my main mast. I have the course yard completely mounted and secured with rigging. The other yards are pretty simple and they will be very easy to secure because I have installed pins on them to locate precisely onto their respective spots on the main mast. This idea comes from Mark, so many thanks to him. I have my shrouds rigged and will be rigging the ratlines next. Cue the bourbon and The Doors...

Patrick your Niagara is absolutely terrific!   I have looked at the niagara kits a few times; debating whether to add one to my wish list - logs like this may just push me over.

Clean build,  great looking - love it!! Look forward to watching it to completion!

I am getting some more done on my standing rigging. The main mast;s rigging is nearing completion and I figured I'd get some photos in here before I got too far along. The first picture is of my parrel making materials and the second is the completed parrel on the yard and main mast. The third picture is for Augie because I know he loves ratlines. The other two pictures were just received in the mail and I am looking forward to diving into these books.

Looking fine Patrick.  Say, while your at it, I can use about a dozen yards and booms (rigged, of course).

Good morning Patrick,

Everything looks great!  If Augie does not does get your rigged yards and booms, I'm next in line. They will look good when I transplant your stern to my build

Your build looks super, hope that you find and repost everything. Good Luck on that. I've got the MS Niagara kit and hope to build it someday.

Gentlemen, thanks for stopping in. Augie, I'll get to work on those yards and booms  B) . Larry, You're going to want to hurry on sawing off the stern of my Niagara as it may be all tangled up in my rigging if you wait too much longer. I'll take a couple weeks stay in Florida as trade for the stern  :P . 42rocker, thanks for looking in. Let us know when you start on your Niagara with a build log so we can follow along. Our Niagara club is growing by the day it seems.
