This my setup for long ropes (Czech Beer, Slipknot music, gutermann thread, and lego bricks) . This would produce around 2m long rope. But I'm confident that it could handle much longer. The only weakness is the transition of power via belt. If you need big cable (1.5mm and more) it will start slip. But this could be solved by using gears instead of belt. I chosed belt because it is easier to remove and mount back.
