  1. Glad to see you are tackling the O16. She's looking really good Carl, nice work. I'm surprised that you had PE problems, I managed to use what was with the kit, except Boris did not include the periscopes and antenna mast, I made them from bamboo. I decided to paint mine in battle grey as she was on her last war patrol. Your choice of colors is before the hostilities started, nice break from the mundane. Is that copper color on the lower part of the hull? Cheers,
  2. Good to see you back Andy. So sorry to hear about your career hiatus, I do understand the feeling - personal experience. Also sorry about your eyes and hope you'll find the right solution for that. Impressive built Andy and keep plugging at her. Cheers,
  3. A belated birthday wish Nils. Very nice progress and cannons look great. Cheers,
  4. So good hearing from you Nenad and knowing that everything is going okay - - albeit quite busy. Spend the time with your children now and make it a great time. You take care of yourself and hopefully hear from you soon again. Stay strong my friend. Cheers,

  7. Doesn't look like you have to worry about your skill level Kevin, you are "blazing" through this build pretty good. Looking great from here, ummm, Palm Coast, Florida. Cheers,
  8. Nice seeing you back again here Doris and your mod on the wale looks terif. I assume you are going to put some lights in her so the crew wont stumble in the dark. Cheers,
  9. Mighty fine work JesseLee. Yup, there's nothing like scratch building your own parts. Cheers,
  10. Good seeing you posting again Hans and your kits look really marvelous. Cheers,
  11. Hell Nils, better late then never with me dropping in. Been busy with hurricane related efforts and a few other things. However, here I am joining you with this fantastic build. As I may have mentioned before this chebec reminds me of the Buginese sloops of yesteryear. I hope to be able to build a model of one of them. It appears that the Buginese prauw design may have come with the Arabs during the introduction of Islam in the East Indian Islands. I know they did give the VOC a lot of headaches in the 16th and 17th centuries. The pirates loved these fast boats. You are really progressing rather rapidly and the shape is already clearly shown. Cheers,
  12. Nice work Sjors, looking forward to the tung oil job. Cheers,
