  1. G'day Mark The lanterns looks a lot better than before! Maybe a black dry brush finish over the gold, might help with the 3D effect. If it doesn't work, you can redo it with gold again. ♺ Havagooday my friend Greg
  2. G'day Dan What an intriguing and a brilliant way to create the hull. Havagooday Greg
  3. G'day Mark Havta agree with Pat, the redos are worth it, 100%. Maybe you might be the only person who can see the difference, but YOU are the one that counts after all. The planking looks great mate. Havagooday Greg
  4. G'day Nils I'm in a real dilemma, I am holding my breath to see this finished ship, but I don't want it to be finished. I'm enjoying myself so much with every part and every log entry, I can't hardly believe how small she is. I'm flabbergasted with everything from the funnel's tires to the simulated rivets. A truly inspiration piece of craftsmanship. Havagooday Greg
  5. G'day Dave Mindi was partially correct. The long boat was the only one white and the rest were brown. The reason why the long boat was brown because it was damaged by worms and the lead paint was used to stop the progress and also to stop the worms spreading to the other boats. I read it somewhere, and I think it was from Cook's journal. In the same article he wasn't pleased to have the long boat aboard the Endeavour. I also have to agree with Mindi, how good your model is. Well done! Havagooday Greg
  6. G'day Keith I know what you mean about weight gain. I was 114kg until I went on my diet. NO SUGAR AT ALL, but I replaced it with honey in my coffee. Half my meat intake, was also my secret. In 8 months I lost 37 kg and was down to a good weight of 77kg. That was 2 years ago and I'm still around 77 kg. I was in 4XL t's now small. I feel heaps better. Havagooday Greg
  7. G'day Dan Welcome back, and I'll have a seat near Bob, Mark and usetosale and I'm assure there will many more. Havagooday Greg
  8. G'day Mark Just beautiful work on the yard. I would assume they are all at your high standard of work. Are you going to paint them black, in the centre or the whole yards? Again bloody brilliant work mate. Havagooday Greg

  19. Denis that is about what I got. 8.2 pounds. G'Day Nils I have gone through all the adjectives that I could say about the funnels. But the best that I can say is an Ozzie term, so here it is again: bloody fantastic! Regarding what Joel said about painting inside the funnels soot black..... I think the ship's engines will soon make them quite sooty. The ship looks so real! Havagooday my friend Greg
  20. G'day Patrick You're 100 % correct, Denis has got an eagle eye. If it help you, I havta go back to check the photos twice until I saw the splinter. 😆 The engine room is so good that I can hear a gentle purrrrrr of the engines after the tune up. It's fantastic, bloody fantastic in actual fact. Havagoodweekend my friend Greg 😊
