  13. Paul my advice would be to stay at the original scale. Your kit is not very accurate but if you do not mind doing a bit of kit bashing and want to practice your skills go for it. Remember you are not in a contest. This for you to have fun and enjoyment. David B
  14. If my memory serves me this craft was painted the way the fisherman wanted it to identify it. There was no standard shade. David B
  15. I came across your build a little late. You have an interesting build. I am always interested in working or fishing craft. David B
  16. It is really starting to shape up. I like the form. What colors have you decided on. David B
  17. Testors has an enamel paint remover. You can also use a product called Stripeeze. This stuff gets brushed on and then let sit. It will remove almost anything. Then use a little mineral spirits to clean up. For nooks and crannies you need a thinner paint than Testors enamel. Try Tamiya acrylics. David B
  18. Before my cancer I was thinking about building one of his smaller craft. But that is on hold until I can get back to Chicago. David B
