Hey Maurey, really nice work but a question, the last picture side on shows the scupper ports at different heights, is that camera angle or intended? As this is the dead flat area of the ship I would not of expected a difference of height. Ben -
Hi All, Need some advice on what kind/size/brands of dust collection and extraction systems you all use and would recommend. I just moved and now my workshop will be in my basement, so keeping dust down will be a big thing. The back workshop is a 12x25 space, this is where the really dirty tools will be located, 14" bandsaw, full size table saw, 12" Planer, 6" jointer, thickness sander etc....., I will need a good dust collector in here, maybe 1.5 HP with 4" ducting and blast gates. Front workshop is a 25x25 space, mainly for modeling tools ( Byrnes ) and other smaller stuff, get away with shop vac and dust extractor?? Any help or advice would be welcome, especially on sizing of units and reviews of good/bad equipment that you have experienced. Thanks again Ben

Thanks all for the comments. Martin - the workshop will be much larger than that, the back basement for the full size dirty tools is almost complete, at 12x25, just finished painting, now need to complete lighting and outlets. The front basement where the actual shipyard will be is 25x25, that is the pic I posted, I am still doing demo of the old family room at the moment so still a few months away. Ben

Hope you get some workshop time Mark to finish those strokes off, I'm still in workshop building mode but hope to have a small workspace ready by the new year so I can get back to Pegasus. Best wishes to the Admiral. Ben

Both Pegasus and Confederacy arrived at the new home without damage, Phew! Movers did a great job of the packing. Now to start building a new workshop. Ben

Well all modeling is on a total hold while we move house, both Pegasus and Confederacy are boxed up and I hope they survive the move. Then of course a new workshop needs to be made so I doubt any progress on anything until the end of the year. I will be back Ben
