The 10.5cm LeFH-16 auf geschuetzpanzer Mark.VI(e) and the munitionspanzer Mark VI(e)

General history
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10.5_cm_leFH_16_Gesch%C3%BCtzwagen_Mk_VI_736_(e)
The myth of a modern motorized German army in 1940 is not entirely true.
Only elite panzer divisions had modern (tank) equipment ( some of which were actually just training vehicles). Their tactics were more daring and modern. After the Blitzkrieg of 1940, Germany had a large amount of captured material at its disposal. All this went into the service of the German Whermacht.
A certain Alfred Becker had the idea of mounting his unit's howitzers on these light tanks.
They served well on the Eastern Front and were the first fully self-propelled howitzer unit in the German Whermacht.
Alfred Becker's talents did not go unnoticed. Baucommando Becker (Build unit Becker) turned hopelessly outdated French vehicles and tanks into completely "new" German vehicles that made it quite difficult for the Allies in Normandy (1944)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Becker
The plans and the parts
Start building the two hulls. as always with short run kits a lot of flash and a lot of cleaning.

The general shape of the model LOOKS pretty good (Google translate made an error, or me) haha 😇
I did 4 years of study and building to make a painted hull
is the shape correct?
Is the painting correct?
With or without a balcony? with me with balcony. Correct? I still do not know..

I follow
In this era there was not much decoration on the stern. And indeed a statue of a bambi ??
This ship was intended to operate "behind enemy lines", not to attract attention.
But there is little information from ships of this period. And the general shape of the model is pretty good
Good luck.

Billings's Vasa was my first wooden ship.
I really enjoyed building this model

Wow.
Simply amazing what you've done with a hunk of plastic parts. Hats off to you, Patrick. What a masterpiece and thank you for sharing your process!

Thankyou😁
Thank you

Thank you

Very, very well done!

Hope you fully recovered now from C19?

Miki
Thank you
Just two figures, a small crate, small blueprint and it tells a full story in the shipyard (I made an attempt to put a bottle and 2 cups on the crate. But on a scale of 1/110 it did not work out very well)
Dull colors and rusted copper... (Once a military modeller, always a military modeller
)
No more big covid problems, but still tired quickly

Any chance for adding some Tahitian girls in your diorama 😜 ?
If I now add Tahiti ladies... then we have a party and then there may not even be a launch of the ship 🤣

Never Mind I Figured It Out.
I am having trouble creating an album.
When I select "gallery/completed kits/add images/create new album". It asks me to enter the URL for my pictures? My pictures are from my hard drive and my build log. Not sure what to do from here.
Thanks in advance
I have the same problem, does anyone have an answer for this.
The photos are on my PC and I don't have a URL
Update: The photos are in the gallery. But I don't know if they are in an album

Final update, the anchors.
The anchors of the kit.
The improved version of the anchors and 2 of the 5 figures that will be usedDiscovered that the anchor cable i used is a bit too thick...
This is where the build of this model ends.
Friends of ours bought this kit for the kids, forgot about it in the attic, and then it almost ended up in the bin.
To be built later by someone who only has experience with plastic military models
Overall, I am satisfied with this little model it gave me many hours of building pleasure
Photos of the complete model. To bring some life into this diorama.
An inspector from the Royal Navy listens to what the shipbuilder has to say about the ship, before it is approved for serviceIt probably didn't work that way at the time, but these 2 figures supplied with the kit were very suitable for this setup

Seen from this angle it is indeed correct.
Sorry I kept you awake 🥺

Beautiful work Rodolfo.
A practical question (it can also be a stupid question)
If we put bolts here
Then it looks like these planks are bolted permanent to the opening in the deck.
How do we then open this hatch when we have to be in the hold? -
-
Did some extra detail (rope)on the belaying pins.
These have become almost invisible, so they were made of a simple round plastic strip.New swivel guns have also been made, simple made cannons but better than the one in the kit.
To have a tapered effect parts of stretched sprue are used.
extra detail.
Kit cannon versus home made version
The swivel gun supports on the rear deck are made too high. The guns are so high in relation to a person that they are only suitable for use as AA guns... or to shoot at seagulls
Delicate moments
Cannons mounted and ready for action. Thanks for following, comments and likes

You are definitely building an A version.
The hull of the G version was different and simplified to increase production.
If you want to know the differences, no problem.- Old Collingwood, Egilman, lmagna and 4 others

Good idea, I'm going to enjoy this too 👍

Drilled a 6mm hole in the stern for the rudder, always a pleasure taking a power drill to your hull.. NOT 🙂
You are a brave man

The more I read about the ship type "fluit" the more respect I get for the people who build them, both in the past and in the present.
What a difficult shape to build
Congrats with this model Marcus

Thanks,
Build update
The mizzen sail is adjusted (thanks Roka) and all running rigging should be in place to operate yards and sails.
Probably not every line is tied to the correct belaying pin but it is much better than the kit instructions.
Next to do things :
Make swivel guns, those of the kit are too thick, make the anchors, etc ..
And apply extra ropework (picture)The Heller SR, roughly the same scale (built long ago) and the Bounty
Corona update
The healing is going well for me and my wife
Still tired easily. Shipyard time is a little reduced because we take a short walk once or twice a day to get more oxygen into the lungs.
Recently I read a good description of what the lungs feel like when you breathe with corona.
"It's like an elephant is sitting on your chest and you can barely breathe". (Believe me it feels like that sometimes)Thanks for following, comments and likes

Welcome back
You haven't missed anything for now. This build was temporarily on hold.
First finished a small plastic Bounty.
Had a "light" corona attack, and defeated it
Now build a few military vehicles and then we'll get back to this build.
