    It seems that you are getting there, isn't first planking fun😬, but it is all good practice for the final planking. All in all YOU are doing well.

    Quick update to this, I'm about 3 quarters way through first planking (it's certainly not the neatest work but it will be covered) and then I've got to rebuild the bulwarks as I dropped the hull more than once🙄 and most of the bulkhead tops snapped off, but I'm confident I can get round it. Photos to come when 1st planking finished. Thanks for looking in and comments and likes. Cheers 👍😁

    A question concerning being a newbie, how long is one a newcomer, I ask as I have been here just over a year and would consider myself still a newbie when I see how long some people have been members? There's no particular reason why I'm asking just curiosity

    After a bit of Google surfing I could only find : https://www.rarewoodsusa.com/ They have some boxwood but very expensive and mention knots, wormholes and minor cracks. (Small worm hole and slight surface feathering. $187.55 A 32.25 × 8.062 × 2.437 in) And I thought you guys over the pond had an easier job finding wood🤔

    Maybe a bit late but Chris Wattons Vanguard models has some 1:64 gun carriages, pear though not boxwood, but they look very nice. There is a link to his site where the MSW sponsors are. Your Sherbourne is coming along nicely 😀

    Good news, as I was struggling to find some non walnut carriages and barrels for my Triton, without having to go abroad and incur expensive shipping

    They've got some nice wood, I did not see the boxwood last time I was on their website. At the bottom of the number 13 piece page they have : Castello boxwood is CITES listed and requires special licences for export. We regret that for practical reasons we are not able to supply this item to countries outside the EU.

    Everything is fine thanks OC there is only me building a garden wall for a customer so I'm probably safer than at home!
