That's just it, you can't stop at one battle or campaign, you have to go through the war. It's not a bad use of ones time!! -
Hello again, thanks for the likes, I have officially ran out of wood now and without funds as I'm not at work and waiting for the rescue package, work on Triton and Winchelsea is on hold till I am able to purchase some more timber. But planking on the hull is finished and looking at it I'm thinking I will copper or paint it as it is not too clever. I may copper one side and paint the other, we'll see! Lots of sanding to do before that though. Til next time Cheers

Thanks everyone for looking in 😁 and the likes. After a therapeutic break putting some planking on Triton I'm back to the wheels with renewed vigour. Finished all of them and glued them on. Put the turret together and made up the main weapon! Turret just dry placed. There is a lot of details to put on the bodywork and lots of equipment and then the crew. And I thought this was going be quick and easygoing 😆 Cheers

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
