CA seems to give it's own problems with certain finishes ... you tackled that very nicely. Love the way it turned out!

Good to see you back at the workbench, Håkan. Like the type too I know I will enjoy your build Cheers

What looks to bulky? If it's the shelf, considering the thickness of the planks, you could make it thinner, but it will probably look very fragile. I would advise you to add some masts to the model, which will change the overall look of the "scenery". You'll want to stain(?) the shelf I presume ... don't give it a dark colour, which will certainly make it stand out. Start with a light and go to medium darkness from there if you do not like the light colour. Use test material before you stain definitively ... I like the way it looks. I might go for the colour of the parket (floor) ... lovely job

Nenad, You gotta do what has precedence. Right now it's your children, the beast, and whatever else comes first. Sorry to hear about the cataract problem, fortunately you can be helped though. Just drop a note from time to time, so we know you are a life and kicking! Take care, and make the most of the little time you have now

Good to see you back at the model again,Jeff. Nice paint job, although, the image's colour is somewhat off I presume. How's the chess goin'? -
I can hardly see the difference, Johann I wish I could be able to do the one on the left, the right hand side is out of my league ... you do have improved tremendously over the years with your brass prowess. I hope, you will not be looking for much more replacements for previously made parts !? In the end you might not be able to finish the model caused by "never ending redo's"

Best wishes to you, Daria, and your wife, Mike. You certainly have an understanding lady ... actually ladies, Daria can't run from her room with your contraption between the chairs ... I really look forward to the case with the protective foil removed!

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
